Here A Quiet Place thrilled by presenting a fleshed out family under a precise and horrifying threat, The Silence is satisfied to just plop down barely sketched characters then throw them into The Birds but more violent. That doesn't make it satisfying. There's just nothing special to be found in The Silence.

A dull retread of ideas explored more interestingly in other films and TV shows. Even the always-welcome Stanley Tucci can’t add any flair to a movie that feels so much like a relative of John Krasinski’s 2018 smash hit that one has to wonder if Netflix didn’t try to convince the producers to rename it “A Quiet Paradox.”

Υπήρχε δυνατότητα για μερικές πολύ καλές και έξυπνες στιγμές, τις οποίες και δεν αξιοποιεί μέσα στον συγκεκριμένο χώρο που έχει, χαραμίζοντας μια αρχικά ενδιαφέρουσα ιδέα, η οποία μπορούσε να προσφέρει περισσότερα.

While certain scenes exhibit commendable design, likely attributed to the source material, the film as a whole falls slightly short in overall execution and atmospheric tension compared to its counterpart in the same genre, A Quiet Place.

"A Quiet Place" meets "Reign of Fire" but this time... velociraptor bats. Oh, and the girl from Mad Men. And Stanley mofo'n Tucci! It's getting ridiculous how Netflix is making movies purely based on focus groups and target audiences. This one is an unfortunate waste of time.

This was comically lousy, with plenty of "WTF" moments to help you forget how many HORRIBLE decisions that Stanley Tucci's character made in this epic fail of a film. That scene where he's sharpening a stick? GENIUS. If he would've kept his family in the damn house to begin with, he wouldn't need his little stick.... ****, NEVERMIND!

You'd think a film in which the creatures are blind and rely solely on their sense of hearing, the creatures' would have a more heightened sense of hearing. Seriously; even dogs have better hearing than these creatures, and they don't need it as much.That's the most glaring flaw. At least Bird Box as much as it was a knock-off, was about seeing the creatures. That being said; at least there is a sequence with the cult that gives the film life if only for a few minutes. It's not as bad as it could be but it could have been better. Stanley Tucci's presence in this film tricked me the way I see it tricked most.
