Hands down best sci-fi movie I've seen in a while!! I mean it has it all high action, crazy aliens, emotional drama and comedy!! I don't want to give anything away but let's just say you know how when you watch a great movie and you're asking yourself "is this the end?" This movie is a solid 7 or 8 but I rated it a 10 to slightly offset the irrationally negative reviews. Many of the negative “professional” reviews have an obvious agenda against Chris Pratt because of his politics (he’s a Conservative & Republican). But the insane woke left is apparently triggered by anyone or anything that contains/promotes old fashioned family values &/or a star who doesn’t toe the usual Hollywood line. Tomorrow War shamelessly borrows from a variety of flicks…Aliens, Independence Day, Starship Troopers, Edge of Tomorrow, etc… But the bottom line is while it has some script flaws it’s the most fun I’ve had watching a good old fashioned sci-if action flick in a long time.… Expand

I'm giving the film a 9 instead of an 8 because it for not being a reboot/sequel or poor adaptation of someone else work. It barrows from a lot of other science fiction properties like parts of Warhammer 40K for the aliens and the final objective is reminiscent to the plot of the movie ReignI'm giving the film a 9 instead of an 8 because it for not being a reboot/sequel or poor adaptation of someone else work. But that's more originality then you will get from most Hollywood movies. The movies biggest strength is the creatures and the surprising relationship Pratt has with a female military's officer once gets to the future. Those scenes together were really powerful. Really the only thing stopping the movie from being a 10 are some minor flaws and nitpicks.… Expand

Whenever you see military equipment in a movie, you know that the army paid for it, and in return gets some promotion in. With The Tomorrow War, the army paid and produced the whole of it. It is very clearly an overblown recruitment video.

You get to see a lot of their tech in action, beautiful explosions, camaraderie, talk about courage and heroism and protecting your children. And, did you know, they have a science division for nerds? Girls are welcome too. Politics is useless, but when the going gets tough, the tough get going. Be your best self. You don't know what you have until you have to defend it, and so on.
Beside the tropes from the brochure, the movie doesn't have much to offer. The story is thin, there is no room for the nuances you would expect in a war movie, and it is about an hour too long. But the target audience, i.e. people who enlist, will probably like it.… Expand
