The four lead performers display an undeniable chemistry that makes Vacation Friends 2 pleasantly engaging if not hilarious. But it’s the addition of Buscemi that provides the real comic spark, the veteran actor employing his well-honed persona of angry sarcasm to provide a much-needed edginess to the otherwise bland proceedings.

Still adhering to the formula and lacking genuine emotions, Vacation Friends 2 often comes across as dull and awkward, missing compelling highlights that would evoke empathy from the audience.

While its predecessor proved to be a goofy and satisfying watch, the sequel is never able to fully recapture the charm. You're much better off rewatching the first film.

The bar was low after the first, a half-assed waste of actors who deserve better, but the sequel is somehow even worse, a maddeningly unfunny string of bad decisions, the worst of which was deciding to make it in the first place.

In what was evidently something completely thrown together without any sort of effort because of the more than unexpected success of the first movie, Vacation Friends 2 is worse if you can believe it as it squanders its talent by entangling them in numerous situations that it erroneously deems humorous. It's a crude thing to say, but while I wholeheartedly support the WGA in its efforts to restrict the involvement of artificial intelligence in screenwriting, you also have to know how to admit that AI could certainly write something better than this. Massive waste of time.

How did this trash get a sequel? It's not even remotely funny. You might force some laughs out of boredom but I don't know who wrote this and thought any of this dialogue was funny is beyond me. Trrrrrraaassssshhhhh
