Just about every major movie coming out these days is made by Disney, so, if you want to see the latest blockbusters, a Disney+ subscription makes a lot of sense. With its acquisition of Fox, there are even more movies to choose from.

How much does Disney+ cost?

The Disney+ streaming service costs $8/mo. You can also pay for a yearly subscription for $80 and save $16/yr.

Disney+ and add-ons

If you're a fan of Hulu and ESPN+, you can purchase the Disney Bundle to get all three services together.

  • Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ bundle: for only $14/mo. you get all three streaming services.
  • Disney+, Hulu (No Ads), and ESPN+: If you like Hulu and are willing to pay extra to remove the ads, then the bundled price rises to $20/mo.
  • Disney+, Hulu + Live TV, and ESPN+: Cut your cable cord entirely by getting Hulu Live with your Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ bundle. Hulu Live comes with more than 85 channels for $73/mo.

Disney+ features

The Walt Disney streaming service has three great reasons you should consider a monthly subscription.

A vast library of on-demand Disney films
While everything Disney has ever made is not featured on Disney+, a lot of it is. If you're looking for your favorite animated films, you'll likely find them on the streaming service. These include classics such as:

For years Disney would only release these movies to be sold periodically. For many viewers, the ability to watch such family wholesome entertainment whenever you want is worth the monthly price all by itself.

Comes with Marvel Studios, Pixar, Lucasfilm, and National Geographic titles
Are you a Marvel Cinematic Universe fan? A Disney+ subscription gets you access to nearly every Marvel movie made, which means every Avengers, Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America movie comes with a Disney+ membership.

Additionally, Disney+ has been adding Marvel TV shows to its lineup, too. Shows like WandaVisionThe Falcon and the Winter SoldierLoki, and What If are all adding and expanding the MCU.

Love the Star Wars franchise? Then you'll have access to all nine of the Star Wars Skywalker Saga films, as well as Solo and Rogue One. Then there are the TV shows to consider, which are also on the Disney streaming service, including:

But there are also a host of other Star Wars shows, including The MandalorianThe Book of Boba Fett, and the Obi-Wan Kenobi series — which takes place between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. In fact, both Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen reprising their roles as Kenobi and Darth Vader, respectively.

Meanwhile, there's National Geographic and Pixar to consider. National Geographic has a plethora of documentaries and TV shows on Disney+, including The World According to Jeff GoldblumGordon Ramsay: Uncharted, and The Incredible Dr. Pol. Likewise, Pixar brings its own collection of great titles, like Turning RedOnwardLucaToy StoryThe Incredibles, and more.

Includes many 20th Century Fox movies and TV shows
Movies like Home AloneAvatarThe SandlotIce Age, and The Sound of Music can now all be streamed on Disney+. Though they're not officially MCU titles, you can also watch all of the X-Men movies that Fox made over the years, including X-Men, X2: X-Men UnitedX-Men Origins: Wolverine, and more.

Perhaps the best part of this merger, however, is that you can now stream every single episode of The Simpsons on Disney+. This means you can watch more than 600 available episodes.

Disney+ supported devices

You can watch Disney+ on virtually every device these days (with the exception of the Nintendo Switch). So if you want to watch it on your Smart TV, Android, or iOS device, you won't have any problem. You can also watch it on your web browser if it's up to date.
