Georgia Taylor

Biography: Georgia Taylor is a British actress who is probably best known for her role as 'Coronation Street's' 'Toyah Battersby', who she played from 1997 until 2003. She won the Best Dramatic Performance British Soap Award for the role in 2001.

Since leaving the soap, she has appeared on television, in films and even on stage.

Her film and television appearances include "New Street Law" (2007), "Lilies" (2007), "Life on Mars" (2006-2007), "The History Boys" (2006), "Blackpool" (2004), "Red Cap" (2004), And "Where the Heart is" (2003).

Her stage debuts include her part as Julie Bridges in the play 'Christmas Is Miles Away', by the Royal Exchange Theatre and Bush Theatre in 2006, and 'Tina' in 'The Woman Before', by the Royal Court in 2005.

Her radio credits include Dakota of the White Flats by Phillip Ridley on BBC Radio 7.

Her current role is Junior Doctor 'Ruth Winters' in the long running medical drama 'Casualty', who arrived at the hospital in September of 2007.
