William Self

Biography: William Self started out in Hollywood as an actor in movies in the 1940s and 1950s. He moved behind the camera in the 1950s and stayed there for two decades as a much-in-demand director and executive producer on some of the 1960's biggest shows, including Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea, Lost In Space, Batman, Time Tunnel, The Green Hornet, and all 514 episodes of Peyton Place. He eventually became President of 20th Century-Fox Television, Vice President of 20th Century-Fox Corporation, and President of CBS Theatrical Film Division before forming Self Productions, Inc. and Sarah Productions with Glenn Close.
