At times, A.P. Bio struggles to build a bridge between what’s happening in Jack’s classroom and the rest of Whitlock, but the performances in the B-plots are so uniformly strong, they practically justify these digressions all on their own.
The humor is biting, which you would expect from Meyers, Michaels and Howerton, whose been at his biting best for 12 seasons on “Always Sunny.” And while Howerton is the star, it’s really the supporting players, especially the nerdy kids, who make this one kind of fun.

NBC knocked it out of the park with this one. The premise is a little played out but honestly, The cast saves this show and turns it into something worth watching. Howerton carries that same fire he has playing Dennis on It's Always Sunny and Oswalt plays a quality number two who's short appearances keep his character fresh and his interaction with Howerton's character fun to watch.

There’s a good chance A.P. Bio will become part of that [NBC sitcom lineup] upgrade, if it can dig even deeper into the secondary characters and their strange quirks at the same time as it features Howerton. The more the ensemble clicks, the better.
No, it isn't living up to its potential yet, but I'm convinced that if it just applies itself to its work, it could be something really good. For now, I'd just settle for the show becoming as funny as the people in the show are capable of being.
Bio sits awkwardly between conventional and weird: It's neither straightforward or offbeat enough to strike a consistent tone.
It’s not a pleasant show to watch. ... Kids would usually be shown to be thrilled that their rule-breaking teacher was showing them how to, you know, really enjoy life! But in practice, A. P. Bio ends up ridiculing the students.
An abrasive sitcom that isn’t merely unfunny, it’s also deeply unpleasant.
I like it. That's all that matters. Ok, it says I need 75 characters here. Got it.

It kinda feels like it's trying to be a more mainstream/PC version of It's Always Sunny. There are still some pretty hilarious and dark jokes, but overall it feels very lighthearted in comparison. It's also basically just Dennis off on his own (feels like the next season of It's Always Sunny, if the next season focused on Dennis trying to change his life).
There are definitely funny moments, but not near as many as Sunny. Every other character ****... Just not interesting, or plain annoying.
Concentrate on your masterpiece, Dennis. I can't see this getting traction...

Couldn't watch it after the first episode. Toying on stereotypes, can you be any less creative than that? Main character is a stereotypical white male who has enjoyed privileges all his life too. The jokes are NOT funny at all. The US TV networks are really making some below average shows these days.

Just when I thought that piece of crap sitcom L.A. To Vegas was the stupidest show on the air, this ridiculous train wreck of a show comes along! I struggled to get through the first episode. I'd rather try to pass a hard poo than watch this! To say it's unfunny would be an understatement. A.P. Bio is as entertaining as a ham sandwich. To thumbs way down. If A.P. Bio was a car, it would be a Ford Pinto.
