Charmed 2018 is good, offering up all one could want from a supernatural adventure series. It’s well cast; witty and fun; a little satirical, a little more suspenseful, but with solid emotional grounding (and the promise of romance); a little physical but with nothing too explicit in the way of violence. That it doesn't take itself too seriously doesn’t mean it won’t make you jump.
The power of three still packs an entertaining jolt in The CW's reboot. The characters are new, but the fundamentals remain intact. [12 Oct 2018, p.44]

Great reimagining. The actresses fit together well though season 4 struggle with worrying how to fit it all together.

La temporada 1 fue divertida, la temporada 2 fue fantástica nuevos poderes, el libro de las antiguas con magia de todo tipo, el libro de las sombras destruido, el origen de las luces blancas y oscuras, el arbol invertido que es la fuente de la magia, el empoderamiento femenino, abby fue el mejor villano que pudo existir, la temporada 3 fue un boom! El libro de las sombras reaparece con diseño al charmed OG, monstruos caóticos antigüos, nuevos personajes sin duda los perfecti fueron muy buenos personajes que igualan el poder de 3 esta lleno de sorpresas mucha magia y acción.

Unfortunately, it feels as if the new writers have outright disdain for the source material, so arbitrary and widespread are these changes. ... Not all of the changes are problematic. Matching the sisters' fight against demons with the #MeToo movement and other feminist protests against the patriarchy is a smart move, if executed with a heavy hand in the premiere. Setting the series on a college campus is an ideal way to bring those social and and supernatural issues together.
Despite the timeliness of this dialogue, Charmed plays like a throwback to the schlocky original, which aired in the 1990s and to which it is surprisingly faithful in spirit. ... Charmed is more supernatural procedural than serial drama.
The first episode of the new “Charmed” is clunkier than Rose McGowan’s late-‘90s shoe game. That said, a pilot’s job is to clearly let viewers know what the series is going to be about.
This Charmed has its sights set on the Emmy for "Most PC Cliches Packed Into One Oppressively Long Drama Ever," and I think it might even win the lifetime achievement award the first season.
The original show balanced horror with comedy and supernatural threats. The update feels like sociology homework.
Halfway through Season One, I've watched every charmed episode seasons 1-8 minimum 4x each. This remake is without a doubt a good try, and could've been 1000x better. Acting is beyond horrendous, the "Charmed" ones are basically a bunch of little crybaby witches with the mind of 12 year olds, except the Prue wannabe maybe. Scenes in this show actually make me want to stop watching because of how horrible the snide ugly and horrible actors. Notably perhaps the whitelighter emanating Leo was the best actor out of the lot. Only reason I keep watching is for the nostalgia, If you want a real show you can watch for months try the original Charmed... if you want some newage horrible acting with some iphone apps thrown in, go for it.

I was constantly taken out of the show by very poor acting skills. Sarah jeffery was great, but Madeleine and Melonie are in need of some acting classes, maybe. I hope they can recover next season!

I am a huge fan of Charmed but this reboot the story is good a new perspective (we cannot say it is related to the original since totally different ways for the whitelighter or elders...), but the acting is so lame and with all due respects actresses should take more classes or the directors since we cannot only blame the actors
