Season 3 of Dickinson is an emotionally powerful and fulfilling journey through the final seconds of the final episode that found this reviewer’s eyes wet multiple times. ... What Smith has done is use Dickinson’s work as inspiration to create a new, artistic feat of her own (along with the hundreds of other people who work on the series), one that redefines what television can be.
Steinfeld still conveys the intensity of the creative process, but this final season forces Emily to ask herself if writing enough. ... This final season expands the show into a true ensemble.

No longer solely relying on dizzying tonal juxtapositions, the series flourishes in ten-episode Season 2 thanks to this revamped balance between 21st-century absurdity and 19th-century poignancy.
While it’s hard to imagine this Emily is introspective enough to be any kind of poet, let alone Emily Dickinson, the show is unassuming and charming, mixing things up to convey the jarring weirdness of being ahead of one’s time. I think it would be a hit on Netflix.
The slightest, but perhaps most interesting, of the Apple Plus shows.
Steinfeld is good, the cast too and the show is not terrible either. What it's forgotten is that while we're all free to make Emily Dickinson into whoever we want, at least make her interesting. Emily deserves as much.
"Dickinson" is a mess of conflicting tones that never jell into a show that does more than relish the chaos of twerking in long dresses. The acting is terrible, and not in a let's-drink-wine-and-make-fun-of-it way.
Além de fugir dos moldes optando por ser uma comédia, a série usa a imagem de Emily **** como filtro para observar os dias atuais. Desde a primeira cena (e o primeiro palavrão), está claro que não se trata de uma biografia comum, mas sim de uma analogia fantasiosa. A aposta da Apple TV+ passeia pelo lúdico para observar a figura de tal pioneira artista, tentando adivinhar o que se passava em sua mente, construindo arcos a partir de seus enigmáticos poemas.
O charme de **** encontra-se mesmo na protagonista, não somente pelo talento de Steinfeld, mas pela forma de humanizar a personagem, mesmo num cenário tão fantasioso. É palpável a sensação de não-pertencimento numa época que não a entende, mas a série não hesita em condenar seus erros e futilidades, ao mesmo tempo. Se a história retrata Emily como uma reclusa, tal série a pinta como uma rebelde pioneira, numa batalha constante contra os limites impostos em sua visão de mundo.

The show clearly targets the young audience. No depth, and try to tell so many story in one 30 minutes episode. The creator made the first two episodes as if Emily and her future Sister in Law was the center relationship and then backtracking it. **** for sure. Hailee and Ella did the best they could with the material given. This show won’t last beyond 3 seasons

Creator Alena Smith has thought the world out well, and the show feels grounded in its own reality. It doesn't overdo the ironic modernity, instead sprinkling a handful of mild swear words and slang terms into each episode in a way that doesn't take the viewer out of the story.

Wtf? If this is a joke, it's a bad one. Nothing in this messy,unwatchable mash up works. I can't believe any critic even gave it any credence at all. Just goes to show that anything can get made as long as someone destroys all semblance of story and character and relevant dialogue. WOW. I gave it a 2 because I like Hailee steinfeld,but Hailee...really. you are better than this vehicle.
