Summary In 1997, Earth has squandered its natural resources. The Robinson family departs Earth on the Jupiter 2 in search of a habitable planet for mankind to colonise. However, a spy from a foreign country, Dr. Smith, becomes trapped aboard while trying to sabotage the ship. Dr. Smith's extra weight causes the Jupiter 2 to be thrown off course.
