After ending the third season with a bang (pun intended), "Ozark" begins its fourth and final arc with a nail-biting sense of purpose, as the Byrdes continue their dangerous dance with people who you really don't want to get on their bad sides. Increasing the kids' role without losing any of its potency, this Netflix drama remains among TV's best, unfolding with a perpetual state of dread. Read full review

The show nods here and there to what it is that Marty and Wendy want beyond to survive, and it’s there things genuinely pick up. ... In moments, one sees the version of “Ozark” that has a sense of these people, beyond their capacity to withstand extreme tension. But they’re too fleeting to dwell on. Definitely one of the best shows at the moment. Story is unrelentingly captivating every episode and watching the characters develop overtime makes Ozark a must watch.

Just fantastic. On the level of Breaking Bad, Sopranos, and The Wire. One of my favorites that's lost none of its mojo on re-binge. New season continues that tradition, and the only disappointment is that it's part 1. Can't wait to see how they resolve it.

Two episodes in and I'm on the brink of losing my mind. I don't binge any show, but 'Ozark' season 4 is making me reconsider it. Season four picks up right after an emotional whiplash ending of season 3, and procedurally loses itself starting with Darlene and Wyatt's relationship. The absurdity of everything and the blue-sepia filter becomes difficult to connect with in this season. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So Robin Wright ruined the series just like she ruined the House of Cards. I don't think I will be watching another season if Robin Wright is going to be directing again. One thing I noticed, just like Quentin Tarantino has a thing about feet so does Robin Wright have a thing about older women dating young boys old enough to be their son/grandson. Season 4 is easily the worst season of the series but thanks to Robin Wright excellent pr team it has the highest rating here on metacritic.
So Ozarks was always a somewhat mediocre version of Breaking Bad. What kept the show going though was Jason Bateman, Ruth aka Julia Garner- possibly the most lovable character of the show and then there were the kids. This season however the kids got a raw deal and especially the Jonah Byrde character was pretty weird. While Bateman and Julia Garner do get the majority screen time the mediocre storyline and direction is not enough to save the show from being a pedestrian affair. I mean seriously how dumb can this show get, the sheriff and a top local mob boss is killed and there is hardly a whisper, besides some silly missing person posters- seriously a missing person sign for a dead sheriff ? lol. The new sheriff walks into a crime scene that's in the process of being cleaned up by the perpetrators and she suspects nothing? lol. Robin Wright oh gawd smh… Expand
