New characters bring a freshness to the season, with their relentless positivity and openness, and they are well-cast. They adore Eric from the first moment, but they’re less convinced about Otis, which creates some nice tension between the loving friends whose bond has been a highlight of the series.
A fantastic end to a fantastic show. I was a bit apprehensive with all the new characters initially but it really came together. The characters are so believable and the situations give a real sense of verisimilitude. The only thing i'm said about is the removal of Ola, Lily, and Jakob as I would've liked to see more of their story. Nonetheless, everything else was top class, the great story and acting especially. I also love the ending, it felt true to the characters and was just really wonderful. Will go down as one of Netflix's best series imo and deservably so.
While Sex Education does stumble with a lot of changes in its fourth season, the show does, eventually, hit its stride near the end. Isn’t that what teenagerhood is all about too—figuring life out after big changes?
Sex Education gets by just fine based on the superb performances and terrific pairings (you could watch Butterfield and Gatwa, in particular, gadding about all day.) But the fairy-tale endings all round just don’t wash: this uncoupling is far too conscious.
The final season of Sex Education is unfortunetely its weakest. Introducing some new characters who are one-dimensional and mostly annoying. There are some interesting stories with some of the OG characters but sometimes they focused too much on the newer characters who aren't interesting at all. Aimee, Eric and Adam's storylines were pretty much the highlight this season!
Such a terrible season. So many uninteresting new characters. So many great characters vanished for good.
The whole story line about Otis competing to be the new school therapist is the most low stakes, uninteresting core story line in tv history. Who cares? Why don’t they just have two sex counsellors at this incredibly progressive school? It makes ZERO sense.
What a waste. Previous seasons were great.
Unwatchable and cringe. The previous seasons were great. Funny and also educational what struggles the teen are going through. Doesn't matter what generation you belong to.These were always subjects of fear, frustration, uncertainties ect. And this show could showcase these in a very entertaining and funny **** the typical Netflix **** propaganda was yet present but not in a painfully obvious or disturbing way. But this 4th season they went all in with the **** stuff and tuned it up with 300%. Now the entire show is a pure clownfest litered with literally stupid as hell kids acting like degenerate clowns which you can't find anywhere in the real world thank god, but is clearly aiming to push the young generation to be like that. The current young generation is by far not this dumb or entitled. The adults who are trying to groom these kids are. This season is unwatchable.
