With the Titans campaign, Ensemble proves it can make a masterfully varied and well paced single-player RTS campaign, with solid storytelling overall, even if the voice acting has taken a noticeable step backward.
Challenging, fast-paced, and most importantly, fun. I’ve already spent way too much time playing this game, and most RTS fans will be spending just as much time with this title as I have. Highly recommended to gamers of all stripes.
Soon it will be two decades that I enjoy this game. The cultures, the gameplay, the campaign all so much fun. I could take of points for the disservice the new game developers did with the chinese additions, but nowadays I just ignore it. I tried playing the civ and the campaign, but it is poorly developed and the campaign is just atrocious.
In conclusion: I love to play it, and enjoy watching people who are actually good on YouTube/ BoitTV. 10/10
I can't think of a single bad thing to say about this game. I've played it on and off for years, I still play it now and then, and this is a 17 year old game, is timeless. I love mythology and this game makes such a great job with it.
It summons into an already great game compelling storytelling elements, excellent graphical variety, solid strategy, and extremely high polish and production value.
A great game at its core, and it's recommendable to any fan of Age of Mythology, particularly those who liked the idea of the game but maybe had trouble getting over the learning curve.
Provides just about enough to be worthy of the price of entry if you're an Age of Mythology fan. The new single-player campaign is slickly presented and a lot of fun, while the addition of the new race and the Titans themselves should give a fair bit of extra longevity to the multiplayer aspect of the game.
Este jogo é incrível! Eu recebi e ainda não posso parar de jogar. Os gráficos são tão detalhadas para um game e é desafiador, mas divertido e terá que jogar por horas! A história é complexa e profundamente pensado. O melhor jogo que eu já joguei de forma
This is a must-have expansion pack for real fans of AOM, although be wary of flaws present in this game.
This expansion pack adds a new civilization; the Atlanteans, playing as them features new units, myth creatures and god powers (obviously). It, too adds new upgrades for the original civilizations (and some tweaks/ fixes on them) , adds a new campaign and of course, huge, monstrous and ever-city-crushing Titans. Some flaws in this game regard the new campaign's [quite] short campaign, plot holes, bad voice acting (in the campaign as well) and insufficient new content for the original civs (although, the fact that upgrades and unit/building costs are expensive does [kind of] barely compensate for this). Playing on multiplayer is actually fun, especially (or limited to, for some players) on random, just like in the original AOM.
Lastly, one thing that kind of bugged me is that, once your enemy already has a titan, you are practically defenseless, (unless without your own titan). I'm not really sure if every one else experiences this, but if so, the best strategy when playing a game (whether it be skirmish or multiplayer) may be good, old fashioned rushing.
Flaws aside, this is still a good game, and you will have a good time playing with it.
I assure.
Kinda.
I would give this game a 10/10, but nobody (about 10 people) play it online. I will not recommend it to you simply for that reason. The campaign is fun, but not to exciting. The best part of this game was the multiplayer in its heyday, which is unfortunately over. tbh this game is better than SC1 and SC2 combined, but unfortunately people do not realize this. If you want an RTS with strategy, rather than just zerging units, this game is for you. SC2 shoudl be called RTM-Real Time Mass (whatever unit).
This expansion is worth playing if you liked the original AoM, but don't expect this to top it. The campaign is okay, but not nearly as good as the original and significantly shorter. The new civilization, Atlantis, has a couple of neat innovations but nothing too cool.
SummaryAge of Mythology: The Titans Expansion adds a fourth mythology, the Atlanteans, to the existing Greek, Egyptian and Norse mythologies. A new single-player campaign will add yet another chapter to the franchise's expansive folklore along with the addition of new scenarios. Atlantean players will be able to call upon the might of the Titan...
