Angry Birds and Angry Birds Space may be great on their own, but combine the two and you get Angry Birds Star Wars, a great tie-in that learns from the mistakes of the past to make something wonderful.
This is a fantastic little game and a welcome, refreshing addition to the Angry Birds franchise. What I really like about this iteration is that it's clearly had a lot of spit and polish added, there's clearly a lot of love here for both Angry Birds and Star Wars ... so long as Rovio don't go too far with this and start making Indiana Jones, Batman etc etc, I think this was a great move.
It is a great addition to the Angry Birds universe, giving you more of what you had before whilst feeling fresh enough to warrant the small expenditure. And the best part is this: There's not a bloody Jar Jar Binks in sight. Splendid.
Whether or not you're a Star Wars fan, Angry Birds Star Wars is a ton of fun. With its latest, Rovio has proven that Angry Birds can be more than a casual slingshotting time killer. Although it doesn't stray too far from its pick-up-and-play roots, at its best the game contains real challenge and surprisingly clever twists.
Angry Birds Star Wars is far from the most original game you'll play, but the addicting formula still works great, and fans of the classic movies will love seeing this silly take on Luke Skywalker's adventures.
Who gets grumpy from the sound of screaming birds, can skip Angry Birds Star Wars without thinking twice. The base of the game remains unchanged, but its looks have been altered. Whoever perfected previous Angry Birds-games and started showing symptoms of withdrawal, can prepare himself for fun game-nights with pigs and birds from a galaxy far, far away.
This is the finest Angry Birds game Rovio has made so far. What is there not to like about the game? You get elements of both the original Angry Birds and Angry Birds in Space and birds that have the abilities of Star Wars characters like the force, lightsabers and blasters. Just imagine Angry Birds mixed in with the story of the Original Star Wars Trilogy and you have this masterpiece ****. Don't watch any trailers for this game. Play it without watching anything about it beforehand. That helps with the wow factor of this game. It's a gorgeous mixture.
Be warned: This game is insanely addictive.
Star Wars does a lot to make the Angry Birds formula more enjoyable. The new powers are enjoyable and genuinely helpful. However it's more than just the theme that makes the game fun. Even if it didn't have the Star Wars skin it would have still been worth playing thanks to the tightened physics.
The thing that really made me dislike the first angry birds were the loose mechanics. You're bird's powers really didn't mean much in the face of the stiff physics and lackluster design. However Rovio uses Star Wars to help fix those issues. The result is a much more balanced and enjoyable experience.
It's a pretty simple physics-based puzzler. One perfect for on the go gaming thanks to it's pick up and play nature. It's a title that can appeal to any age range of gamer and any skill level. Hardcore or casual, young or old, This Star Wars themed Angry Birds game has the potential to appeal to you. Just don't expect much of a challenge.
It's not the type of game that's going to rack your brain as you search for the solution. Some times shear dumb luck with no strategy at all can get you through it. Given that the goal it just to tear stuff down anyway it's entirely possible to just brute force your way through things. The game offers plenty of power ups to help you out when you do get stuck for a bit.
It's lack of depth and desire to appeal to everyone keep it from reaching true puzzle gaming greatness, but does every game really need to? Angry Birds Star Wars is fun. A game worth checking out for fans of either series or just mobile gamers looking for an entertaining experience on the go. To top things off you can even get it free-to-play making all the more worthwhile. It's not the deepest experience out there, but it's still a solid game. That makes it worth a look in my opinion.
I first played Angry Birds Star Wars in Facebook. After it was deleted I downloaded it on my tablet. I wanted to know what would happen in the other levels. The game is not the best, but not the worst. I am not fan of the levels in space, also there wasn't any levels in Jabba's palace and his sail bridge. Also I expected to see more birds to play with them. So that is my thought about the game, everyone is free to think something different, I love different thoughts.
i cant stand how heavily OVER RATED this franchise is, its just throwing birds at pigs, REALLY REPETITIVE and BORING! i can't see how people are liking this, and i don't post this review only to hate on angry birds, no, this game, is EXACTLY the same as ALL of the other titles in this franchise, it was fun, for like the first couple minutes, but after that it's just up and boring. period.
