As disappointed as I was with the first DLC I think I dislike the second one even more. It’s a mishmash of unenjoyable mini-games, and while the music is great the gameplay is not.
Atomic Heart: Trapped in Limbo may be wild and wacky to look at, but playing it is a huge disappointment. Beginning as a candy-coated version of Counter-Strike’s surfing and ending as an exhausting Temple Run clone, this DLC add-on stretches its limited ideas into an equally limited set of levels that seem to get less fun the longer they go on. Much as I appreciate the idea of expanding on both of the main campaign’s endings, if this is the result then it should’ve been left on the drawing board.
There is not much I can say about this dumb dlc. Its just an annoying version of Subway Surfers. Has almost nothing in common with the original game and first dlc.
Another untested DLC. Just a copy of the CS surf mod without any new ideas. 90% of the gameplay is surfing, and the remaining 10% consists of boring, easy boss fights.
Platforms are placed very randomly; some platforms can't be reached even at the highest speed, making it unplayable.
While the general idea to bring something new was okay, the realization and amount of surfing are out of control. It would have been better if it was 10% surfing, 40% exploration, and 50% fights.
The music is really awkward and strange. I think it's better to turn off the in-game music and just listen to your own playlist.
I'm really surprised that they developed this for half a year. You can easily skip this DLC, there's nothing interesting about it.
So, for the next 6 months, we'll be waiting for another boring, untested, and bugged DLC that copies someone else's ideas. It seems like it will be the worst season pass ever.
