We literally haven’t got a bad word to say about Bad North. It’s a delightfully well-paced strategy roguelike that’s as fresh on your first run as it is on your 10th, with new features, enemies, skills, and troops drip-fed to you as you play. You’ll constantly be developing new strategies and trying to make the most of your limited number of troops. We have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending it to everyone. That premium price point won’t look so high when you’re on your 10th run.
You are never full in control of things in Bad North, and that’s part of what makes it such a tense strategy game.

Unlock skills, nurture your commanders and do your very best to stay alive in this fascinatingly tricky game of tactics that if anything works even better on a touchscreen than it did on PC and consoles.
Minimalist real-time strategy presented in a pure, direct fashion. Challenging, not too complicated and is great while it lasts (pending bug-fixes).
Summary They've reworked the campaign progression to show the enemy types on levels, advance the Viking Frontier faster and replaced individual gold with a shared gold pool. This is all comes together to allow you to make much more informed strategic decisions between levels and makes tackling multiple islands per turn a more viable approach.
