An impressive fusion of stunning graphics and solid gameplay.
Focuses more on strategy than Punch Out's emphasis on pattern recognition. And its two player mode is absolutely fantastic.
It’s fun, not terribly complex, and good-looking (kind of like my last girlfriend).
Slick graphics, top-notch audio and tight controls top off a prizewinning fight. [Dec 2001, p.170]
It may not have the depth of a "Mike Tyson's Punch-Out," but it's definitely worth taking a look at, if only to see the sharp graphical presentation.
The game won't win any awards for sound design, but the eye-popping graphics more than make up for that.
