I played this a lot when I was young and had a lot of fun driving around the highways and city streets of France. This game is overshadowed by its sequel but this underrated gem is shining brighter than the others.
If you like to repeat things over and over this is a wonderful game: very nice graphic, good management component, almost no software bugs and continuous updates support. Oh, also don't forget free modding!
Well back in it's day in 2008 when this game was released it was most certainly top of it's market, but unfortunately at that time it wasn't well known. But now with the release of it's sequel there is no comparison. Good Graphics, Not So Good Gameplay
This is a "boring" game. That's for sure. You drive down the same roads every single time. The real problems of the game are the speed, and the repeated scenery. Other than that, a good game to play for 15 minutes once in awhile. Oh, and free modding as well.
It is not bad, but not excellent. Sometimes, it is boring, because you have to drive roads (there are same roads all of the time!) in a lot of countries. You may fell asleep during the game. If you like trucks, buy it. ETS 2 is way more better than this.
One thing I find very frustrating about this game is that as you progress through the game the vehicles tend to slow down (thats what happened to me anyway). When I first started playing the game my trucks could travel on the highway with cargo at 90-95 km/h but now my trucks drive at around 60-70 km/h and sometimes as slow as 50 km/h. If you set aside the speed problems you have quite a good simulation game but don't buy this if you hate slow trucks!
SummaryEuro Truck Simulator is a European first - A truck simulation game in a European setting, with European long haulage trucks! Drive cargos from Rome to Berlin to Madrid to Prague - and many more cities - in realistic vehicles. Euro Truck Simulator is a faithful reproduction of driving trucks on the European road.
