This game is so good, and so well-made, that it deserves your purchase regardless of the state of the market that it's in. But I see so many people complain about the state of mobile gaming. This is the game that you want, it's a fun platformer without in-app purchases that is absolutely stunning, and feels like it was made for mobile.
As a platformer, Oddmar is among the best ones available on the App Store. It takes tropes from the genre and rearranges them into tight little packages that feel great to run through. It may not be the most original game out there, and its story may leave a little to be desired, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying this phenomenal platformer.
Es una joya la verdad, muy buena historia, unos gráficos impresionantes para lo poco que ocupa, soporte para gamepad, cero anuncios ni micro transacciones y lo mejor de todo, incluye stickers en iOS.
As a platformer fan, I love Oddmar. The game is visually amazing, and the music is top notch. Controls are nice once you find your preferred setting, and the gameplay is challenging. It's all rather humorous too, which makes it even more charming. And while there are only 24 levels right now, it will take some time to get through them all considering the length, as well as the hidden secrets to collect. Oh, and there are Dream levels to finish too, so the replay value is high.
Oddmar is a challenging yet fun platformer that perfectly fits the mobile environment. With beautiful graphics and defined challenges per level, it represents a bright future for mobile games.
Featuring a high degree of polish and a scattering of secrets and collectibles in each level, it may not be particularly original, and its cut scenes outstay their welcome, but this relatively short and highly entertaining game certainly does not.
This is one of the most polished experiences you can find on mobile. Everything about the game is enjoyable - from the characters and story to the gameplay. It is really difficult to build a platformer with mobile input that still feels tight, and these guys nailed it. I'm also very happy they went with the 'first world is free' monetization route. No adds, no paying for in-game items, just buy the full game after you've already fell in love.
Absolutely magical little game that is beautifully presented in every regard. I really hope it comes to consoles as I’d love to play this on a TV with a proper controller.
Oddmar is one of the best action-platformers out there. It does everything right. The hand-drawn artwork is console-quality gorgeous, the music is fitting, it's got fully voiced narration and cut scenes, the platforming is as good as Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, and the story is compelling.
Being a mobile game, levels are kept short with frequent checkpoints, but there are plenty of collectibles, secrets and dream sequences to go back for. It has speed running challenges and Game Center achievements, too. And despite being a mobile game, you won't find any in-app purchases in Oddmar.
The game supports MFi controllers, but I've been playing with touch controls, and they are very, very good. You jump by swiping up, ground slam by swiping down, and attack by tapping. It takes a a bit of practice to get used to, but starts to feel very natural.
I'm really enjoying Oddmar. If you're looking for a console-quality game on your iPhone or iPad, this is the one to get.
The most polished graphics you can see in a platformer game. I don't know how they achieved that but you can play it SMOOTHLY maybe almost on every Apple product :D. I strongly recommend to play it on a BIG screen. iphone screens are too small to appreciate its graphics.
The controls feel so natural, they probably put a lot of thought and effort to make it like that.
It is not the most original or innovative game, but it is a combination of the elements of the classics. I prefer the games as possible as playable and not repetitive to the ones "oh ı have a very original revolutionary idea but don't know how to do it so here is a buggy and shaggy product you can maybe play in the sake of our unique minds.
JUST PLAY IT and you'll know what ı mean.
In terms of style and animations this is a clear clone of latest Rayman games. But it doesn’t make it any bad. The game is awesome. On of the best platformers on iOS. Looks gorgeous on big ipad pro screen.
