Nov 16, 2016SteamWorld Heist is an excellent version of a superb, extremely creative strategy game. It's approachable enough that I would even recommend it to those who aren't necessarily followers of the strategy genre, but deep enough that it's a no-brainer for veteran fans. Its finely-crafted gameplay is combined with a charming presentation to create a potent combination. Even on iOS, a platform with no shortage of high-quality turn-based strategy games, SteamWorld Heist stands out effortlessly, making it a genuine must-have. Don't miss it.

Nov 16, 2016Steamworld Heist excels at what initially seems like a potential weakness, removing a dimension from the typical 3D battlefields of XCOM and similar games. But its brand of 2D tactics only makes positioning, smart strategy, finding effective synergies between weapons and classes, that much more crucial and satisfying when you survive against overwhelming odds.

Nov 16, 2016It's very easy to look past Heist's flaws and just enjoy it for what it is. It looks and plays great, particularly in this mobile format, and its New Game+ feature will make sure you have plenty of robotic strategy action to work through even after finishing the main game.

Nov 16, 2016Steamworld Heist is great. From the world to the characters to the style to the gameplay, it’s a lot of fun and pretty much a no-brainer if you like turn-based tactics. Or robots. Or Firefly. Really, the only reason I’d suggest giving it a pass is if you already own it for another platform.

Nov 23, 2016Physics based combat makes a surprisingly enjoyable addition to turn-based strategy in this stylish, story driven campaign. Head out to the black and tell ‘em you ain’t coming back!
