Layers of Fear: Inheritance is a micro-sequel of the base game that allows the player to feel the horror from the point of view of a child, in a certain approach to "Among The Sleep".
With a solid script and fewer unrelenting jump scares than the original game, Layers of Fear: Inheritance offers closure for both the player and characters.
Inheritance reuses some of the gimmicks already adopted by Layers of Fear. The sections from the past are weak because of some questionable choices in the level designing. The plot is shallow and does not explore in sufficient detail the protagonist's character and life.
I liked the DLC, because it's answer so much things with a new whole perspective.. The atmosphere and the fear.. Liked, but is too short, hope they will came back with a good sequel.
Like the base game, it is based on walking on "rails" until you reach the end of the game, with the focus once again being on the story itself, not the challenges.
The dlc is short, can be completed in 20 minutes or so (the first time can take almost an hour), it has multiple endings and if you are interested in the base game's story, it complements a lot by showing more information about the father and mother .
In a promotion it is worth to complement the game's story.
Unfortunately this dlc is criminally short, 1 hour to be exact, **** works as a nice epilogue but doesnt offer anything else. Def buy on sale and if you liked the first one because the game plays the same. Other than that, the game works really well and I had fun playing through it.
Inheritance is an aftermath to the events of the main game and fill some holes regarding the behavior and insanity of the protagonist of the main game now in the perspective of the daughter... Unfortunately for this DLC the story is way too short and removes all of the heart beating scares and treats that the end product is nothing more than a 100% walk simulator that builds a creepy atmosphere, but, like i mention... no treat what so ever in the whole game and really there's nothing to be worried about.

Again, the game is designed not for one passage, different endings and blah blah blah. I really hate DLC that have gameplay on the half hour, but since the game is a "masterpiece, which does not understand" the first time that in the end, artificially dilate her for a few, and then more hours. Money its not worth it, that's for sure, because the essence could fit in the original game, in the next note, and so it would be clear.

SummaryLayers of Fear: Inheritance expands the plot from Layers of Fear and tells the story of the painter’s daughter, who comes back to her childhood home to face her past. Can she forgive her father, or will she resent all that has happened? Relive her experiences and witness the full scope of the tragedy that has swallowed up the family.
