The story sequences are slow-paced and the camera doesn't always show the best view of the battle, but the action between bots can get pretty intense. [Feb 2004, p.150]
The premise may be rather cute, but the game is certainly not. Medabots Infinity exhibits aggravating gameplay and presents an imprecise camera, and the results are anything but fun.

Unfortunately the thing that matters the most, the gameplay, is seriously unbalanced resulting in a game that is all too easy at times and unnecessarily frustrating at others.
Playing Medabots: Infinity is about as much fun as eating poisonous glass.
One of the worst games we've ever played. Its badly designed, poorly implemented and an insult to Medabot fans. Our suggestion? Save yourself some money and stick to watching the cartoons.
It's got annoying gameplay, slow speech and dialogue scenes which are un-skippable, and a camera that just wants to do everything but help you play the game - (stopping in mid battle whilst still getting bombarded with cannonballs to try and move the camera to behind your character). The results are a perfect mess that just isn't fun.
Summary There has been some trouble lately at the popular amusement park, Toru-Toru Land; it seems that some of Riverview's finest have gone missing. It is rumored that this medamischief is due to the twisted Rubberobo Gang. Now it's up to Ikki and his faithful Medabot to put an end to their evil plans and stop the mastermind behind the scenes. ...
