Mini Ninjas is simply wonderful on PS3 and 360. An original break-the-mold adventure filled with tight, constantly evolving action spread across 6 super cool ninja, and more (and better) exploration than the majority of open-worlds. Biggest surprise yet, this year.
Even though Mini Ninjas might not be as in-depth or content heavy as its modern peers, it's still a beautiful, fun game that opens up ninja culture to kids.
"Bunch of old boring ****" - that's how those who write this superb game off as "for younger gamers" should be described, as they've obviously forgot the joy of having a bit of simplistic fun every now and then. Mini Ninjas is a game I am totally in love with and which captures that SNES-era style simplistic "run-jump-slash-run-jump-slash" free flowing platformy action very well. It also adds a smattering of modern day depth to that via a sprinkle of sandbox-like exploration, radial inventory menues and the odd element from various games such as Prince of Persia and Zelda. All this is presented in a fantastically immersive atmosphere which is packed full of charm - it's really quite mind-blowing how peaceful and tranquil the environment is when you're exploring, and how it quickly switches to something so chaotic, humourous and exciting when combat kicks in. And that's something else - whilst not laugh out loud funny there's loads of really cool touches with give the game a superb sense of humour. I've never wanted to run round my house shouting "Ninja!!"so much than after playing this! Mini Ninja's is a thoroughly enjoyable game and whilst it has the odd flaw (the companions are a bit pap, an extra move or two would have been nice, certain boss fights are typical quick-time affairs) it's just so much fun that you'd be'd daft not to own it. "Ninja Ninja Ninja!!!"
If you don’t put the cute ninjas and animals under a magnifying glass, you can see a great game underneath the happy exterior . The graphics are ok, and you can see IO has tried to put down a Japanese style for the game. The gameplay is throughout the game pretty much the same thing and a lot of challenge you wont find. But in the end Mini Ninjas is a simple and entertaining game.
It’s perfectly pleasant and enjoyable brand of cartoon violence will probably see a good few hours of your time fly by as you swipe your way through adorable, glowing-eyed samurai enemies.
Mini Ninjas is an action-adventure-rpg with simple gameplay mechanics but with a lot of objects, spells and scrolls to be found. The final product is sometimes funny, but never compelling. That makes Mini Ninjas child-oriented; adults may like the visual style, but won't be entertained by its gameplay.
IO Interactive deserves credit for going in such a different direction from their usual shooter fare. Alas, the result is a beautiful game without a soul. Like a piece of gum, everything great about Mini Ninjas can be experienced in the first few minutes. After that, its sweetness is just a quickly fading memory.
Its beautiful looking and plays well. That's the most important part for me! I loved the hat snowboarding stage the most. (Had so much fan just **** around in that level)
Though designed for younger gamers I really enjoyed this game.I loved the art style and humour and recommend this to anyone needed a bit of fun and a decent chuckle.
Refreshing game with beautifulvisuals , The environment and atmosphere is just amazing and Almost no dialogue in gameplay , It can become a bit repetitive so I would recommend Defeating one bass a day to keep it fresh , There isn't too much else to say that it is in recommended very much and special if you have kids
