For even more gameplay possibilities, carve a path through walls and buildings, take down your enemies in creative ways, and leave your mark on the terrain around you through intuitive destruction. Through your actions, the pristine world around you change into a battle-scarred landscape, changing the world forever. With dynamic weather you will need to adapt your tactics to weather changes as the elements play a part in the battle. Playing the same map on a bright day, in heavy fog, or rain will impact what you see and hear, forcing you to adapt your play style on an ever-changing battlefield. Operations introduces a new way to play multiplayer. In Battlefield 1 you play a series of interconnected battles across multiple fronts. Play a sequence of battles where your actions have consequences beyond a single match, as you try to conquer territory or push back your attackers. At those times when you feel all is lost, call in the Behemoths - the largest fully player-controlled vehicles ever seen in Battlefield. Roam the battlefield and rain fire on your enemy to break their defenses. All-out war never felt so epic. Take control of the Armored Train, Air Ship, or the Battleship to dominate the battlefield across land, air, and sea. [Electronic Arts] Expand

Battlefield is back in shape and more so with fresh theme of the first Great War! After a long time, the campaign is successful and multiplayer is traditionally excellent. So, this year your choice is set! [Issue #269]

The campaign is worth checking out, Operations delivers clear forward thinking for Battlefield as a series in a way I think Rush never really did, and the maps are absolutely spectacular. Battlefield One is utterly brilliant.

Battlefield 1 has a conservative approach, despite its unusual historical setting. This means it is technically impressive and multiplayer is fun and spectacular. We also like the way the campaign is told, almost as a documentary.

Battlefield 1 is a monumental shooter. Putting "aside" the Single Player campaign (fun, varied and spectacular but very short), the strengh of the production is obviously represented by the PvP. His large-scale battles are an experience that all multiplayer fans should try.

Battlefield 1's solemn campaign and over-the-top multiplayer may feel like polar opposites, but the complete package is all-around excellent.

Smoke-filled skies, destroyed buildings, ever-present dirt, trenches and heavily armored beasts, clouds of poisonous gas and panicked feeling that you’re being shot at from every direction and there’s not a square inch of ground that’s truly safe. The setting feels not just grim – more like apocalyptic. [Issue#214, p.52]

It feels like being asked to play a game of football at a funeral and then made to keep the noise down when you score.

The acting and writing are both good, and the gameplay is enjoyable. In addition, the way they are laid out leaves it open for lots of additional content on this front.

In multiplayer, the combat feels visceral and brutal, while at the same time rewarding smart gameplay. It seems like they took the lessons learned from Battlefield 4, Hardline, and Battlefront and used those experiences to make a much better game this time around.

And it's way too fast paced, I don't understand why the soldiers have to be parkour athletes in a Battlefield game, it doesn't feel right.

Also, they should have gone for a WW2 theme instead because this doesn't resemble WW1 the slightes, it's a joke.

Expect to get bored of this game really fast. It is made for casuals. This is a real review from a real gamer with standards unlike theExpect to get bored of this game really fast. It is made for casuals. This is a real review from a real gamer with standards unlike the casuals that continue to give perfect scores to Battlefield 1. This game has way too many flaws to be anything close to an 8 let alone a 10.

    Content:
The game lacks content. No hardcore. I dont care if it's delivered later. It should be in the game already. That's lazy and it smells just like the EA MODEL which is $$$$$$$. Progression is very slow and very unrewarding. Lack of customization. These dtails alone remove any 10/10 scores given to the game.

    Gameplay:
While new mode operations is a fun mix between rush and conquest it is still yet another sniper fest. Every map in almost all game modes encourages sniper play. Snipers are ROLFSTOMPING other players with martini henry. Medic is overpowered. Assault is basically a dummy. Support is completely useless.

The worse part is that the game get boring VERY FAST. Check out the official forums. Hundreds of players are reporting that they only play 1-2 hours and get bored. They love the game but that's all they play. That tells you right there the game was made for casuals. People that only put in a small amount of time into the game then get bored and move on.

Battlefield 1 is the most casual game ever made. For the love of God STOP comparing this game to bad company 2. Bad company 2 was a masterpiece. The best game in the series. The most balanced game in the FPS genre. Battlefield 1 is the most unbalanced, buggy, and casual game in the series.

    Gunplay:
The most terrible gun mechanics I have ever seen. You are more accurate running and hip firing then you are standing still. Guns give out pathetic damage and soldiers are bullet sponges eating it all up. Some guns have recoil EVEN BEFORE YOU FIRE THE FIRST BULLET. LMGs are completely worthless. I mean the list goes on and on.

    Map design:
Most maps are made for sniper play. Probably to cater to the COD crowd that moved on from call of duty.

    Skill:
Skill has been removed from the game. People are averaging Kill Death Ratios of over 20.00!!!! Unlike previous battlefields, the average player in BF1 will finish the game with a 67-2 kill/death. This game is extremely easy even for someone who just joined. I have been playing since the release of BF2. Battlefield games have always had a nice learning curve. You don't just walk in this game and are automatically good. That happens in BF1. Players are reporting that they were terrible players before but not they average high KDs. I, for example, have never liked snipers and I finished one game 43-1 as a sniper in BF1. I have always been a terrible sniper. And yet this happens? I doubt that other players suck that badly. No, the game is just too easy.

    Vehicles:
Light tank got nerfed into oblivion. Planes are useless and the AA gun is beyond overpowered. Its range reaches way across the maps!!!! Cavalry is still overpowered. You are shot with almost a full clip and you dont die but you swing your sword and you one shot kill your opponent LMFAO give me a break.

This game is AT BEST a 6/10. There's no way this is in the league of bad company 2 or BF2 or BF3 or even BF4. You guys reviewing this game giving it a 10/10 have ZERO standards. You've no idea what a good battlefield game is. If you did, you'd know that BF1 is absolute casual trash compared to games like BF2 and Bad Company 2.

Hit-boxes and reg suck on way over 95% servers, way too many cheaters and on and on... And yet, Dice keeps padding themselves on the back, ignore all problems the game-play has and calms that this is a great game for cross platform gaming... sadly this is NOT even close to the truth. YES, it looks great! but, as a PC gamer I can't rate this game positively. Maybe it's great for other platforms like Xbox or PS4 but for PC this game SUCKS! It's very demanding and you don't get what you paid for.
I don't understand how folks here rate such a glitch-bag of a game so great... just mind bugling...

I thought this game was going to take it back to Battlefield 1942 with single shot rifles were every shot counted. Instead this game sold out and opted to use guns that are technically historically from the era but completely inaccurate. That is just one of many problems I had in my brief moments with this game.
