Amount of work put in this game is incredible. It was hard to imagine that one game with combine classic FPS mechanics with supernatural abilities, but here we are. Bright Memory is a short but sweet experience, more of a demo than a game, but it will probably be compensated with the next planed game.

There’s less content here than in many games in early access but everything is polished almost to perfection. Also, next to a spectacular shooter/slasher gameplay, there is an interesting story and universe here. [06/2020, p.50]

I know that this is just a demo... a very good demo. It's cool to see how one guy maded a game of AAA level. I love the main gameplay idea. And at least it's not another generic pixel-art roguelike like we see every day on Steam. Expand

Just 30 minutes long, but hats off for the man who put this all together and even gave it a badass protagonist. Respect.

Bright Memory is a small paid demo of the full version, Bright Memory: Infinite (demo developed by a single person as well, as curiosity).Bright Memory is a small paid demo of the full version, Bright Memory: Infinite (demo developed by a single person as well, as curiosity).

*STORY: The "Kanshou and Bakuya" relic swords, discovered through SRO research, have been found to contain the "Soul of Jiu Xuan", a substance that has the ability to revive the dead.

I will not evaluate this point because it is a demo and we have no information about it other than the synopsis.

*GAMEPLAY*: Bright Memory presents a very notable gameplay, but there are elements that squeak me a lot (the sword, the jumps and the dodge especially).

*GRAPHICS*: Bright Memory graphically, in mapping, is excellent, but in characters and interactive elements it lowers the level a lot.

*SOUND*: Without a doubt the worst section. Bland and does not stand out at all.

*INNOVATION*: Bright Memory, with only one developer, is impressive, and its idea of merging hack and slash with FPS seems to me very interesting. If they solve the problems something very interesting can come out of here.

While I can say this is pretty cool for just one guy developing it, that doesn't change the fact that this is probably the most generic FPSWhile I can say this is pretty cool for just one guy developing it, that doesn't change the fact that this is probably the most generic FPS I've played, to the point that it's pretty much just COD:AW but your playing as an Asian woman.

    Bugs oh the bugs.

The first time I played this I was in this puzzle room (There is only one) for the first time & the gate closed but because no enemies spawned, I thought it was just a puzzle room but I couldn't interact or process so I got pissed & quit the game, only founding out 8 months later when I played the game again did I found out it was glitch, enemies were suppose to spawn they didn't & I got stuck.
Granted this was when the game was still in Early Access, but I'm getting to it.

Eight Months was also the time I came back to play the game again on my new computer & it runs really well but again a bug appeared at the start of the game, when you transition to the other world & fight the Bears & Skeleton but at the end of the combat sequence your suppose to move to the next area but with the combat music blaring & no where to go I was massively confused because I had gotten pass this bit before & I just couldn't remember how to move on so I restarted the combat sequence again just in case something was wrong & this time it worked which made me go "Oh **** the puzzle room was bugged".

"The early access version of the first episode features about an hour of gameplay with the developer announcing another two hours of gameplay by the end of 2019" This is from the Wiki & it's complete bull**** as the game gives you a stats screen at the end. My time was 32 mins & I was not rushing.

"The game will award letter grades to creative combinations similar to Devil May Cry" This is also bull**** & from the wiki because I don't think standing still shooting the final boss with a machine gun and my style rank increase from S to SS being even close to DMC even DMC 2 did the style rank better.

So no I don't recommend this **** One of the worst games of the year & no I don't care if it is a demo & it's Seven pounds.
    It's still ****
