    Despite all my problems with Infinite, it's a game made by a single developer (for the most part) that was amazing looking enough that Xbox wanted to tie it to its then next-gen, now current-gen console.

    Obviously, this is just the beginning of a long journey, and for the first game from a very tiny studio it's a huge success. The enthusiasts did what the players asked for. One can only guess what fate awaits the FYQD studio, but I would not be surprised if in 10 years Bright Memory becomes a huge franchise under the wing of a major publisher.

    Bright Memory: Infinite looks incredible for a game from a small development team, and the core sword-and-gun gameplay is fun enough. However, everything surrounding those two elements feel unpolished and poorly thought-out. The incoherent story, the non-combat gameplay mechanics, and general lack of quality control drag down the entire thing. If you're looking for a quick and breezy shooter to tide you over for an afternoon, Infinite might be fun for you. Otherwise, there's nothing here that you can't see in videos that show off its rain-soaked beauty.

    Unskippable cutscenes made replaying the first few levels more of a chore than it should've been, and the same remains true if you opt to replay the whole game on a higher difficulty level after completing it. There's nothing else to do if you want to eke out some additional replayability, and Bright Memory: Infinite's short length is certain to put some people off. It's a fun shooter for as long as it lasts, though, offering a satisfying mix of fast-paced gunplay and dynamic action. It's also hard not to be impressed that this came from the talents of a lone developer. Unfortunately, a dismal stealth section, unintelligible story, and some major technical issues hold it back, while its terseness does make it difficult to recommend, even at a low price point.

    Forget the utterly nonsensical story, the unbalanced combat mechanics, the aggravating insta-deaths, the glitches, bugs, translation errors, and so on. Bright Memories: Infinite's biggest issue is that it's not a complete package. It's a two-hour tech demo, and not even an impressive one. The general idea behind it is great (one-woman army who is both a gunfighter, a ninja, and a high-tech wizard), but the execution is subpar to say the least.

    The initial story was curious, but wasn't properly explained here.
    Game mechanics have been slightly improved.
    Bosses are pretty hard, the final boss is pain.

    In the past, I went through the demo length and breadth for all the achievements. Now it's time for a full, albeit short, game.
    Immediately began to pass on the complexity of "revenge" and turned off the sight, I don't know...although I haven't played a lot in Rust, but lately the sight has been distracting me more and I try to turn it off if possible if there is such an opportunity. Naturally this applies to single games only) But to be honest, what is, what is not - the sight does not play a role here at all. Skills help to get out of any situation (almost) a winner. I died 67 times for the first pass, I tried to inspect everything and everything from here, apparently my record of passing is slightly higher than most, or maybe they passed with a high on the lung.

    Positive:

    Optimization, although this is a controversial point.
    I passed it at QHD resolution with the maximum available graphics settings, similarly with retracing.
    I have RTX 2060S and using DLSS in quality I got stable 48-56 fps and this was enough through the roof, but the problem was sometimes detected when loading textures after death, perhaps this was due to the fact that on the second monitor I was playing farm in parallel :D And possibly due to the insufficient number of tensor cores. And closer to the end of the game, I completely turned off retracing because this drawdown was steamed up to 4 fps.

    A beautiful picture and a variety of gameplay - driving a car was spectacular but very clumsy. Throughout the game you will use parkour, hook, weapons and skills. Pumping is meager of course - a few skills for a blade and a hand, but in my opinion this is enough.

    Interesting locations. When I first got to the bar, I don't know what and what it's called there, I came across three signs, so the developer was not lazy and made three different posters, it's commendable that they paid attention to all sorts of little things when creating the game. Enemy shields are broken in pieces, some objects are destroyed, but of course I would like more objects to be destroyed.

    Disadvantages:

    Developer, why the hell is there no photo mode in the game, it's a crime :-D

    The main villain, well, the one that appears a couple of times during the whole game, in my opinion, is worked out much better than the main character. I'm not talking about her ass and breasts now, but about her face first of all, well, just compare her face and the "face of the main antagonist". She has no emotions, and this catches the eye even earlier than her detailing, or something. In general, something about her always repelled me.

    During the passage, in addition to the above described friezes, I encountered only one bug when I picked up a weapon for the first time, after I could not do anything (shoot, use a sight, skills), only movement and sight worked. I was treated only by restarting from a checkpoint.

    Plot - consider this point neutral. For everyone it is individual of course. I wouldn't say it's bad, but it's boring, there are no "WOW" moments, twists in it. I think it will do for the scale of such a game, and of course I hope that a sequel will still appear.

    DLC - where is the build with red skins? Here it was not, I did not buy them :D

    In general, I was satisfied with the game, I initially did not expect anything supernatural from it, and as a result I got a wonderful attraction for a couple of evenings. Thanks to FYQD-Studio for this product!    … Expand
