    When Tesla fights with Edison, sparkles fly. An above-average story, perfect atmosphere and a decent pace. You will spend one great afternoon with the game despite its minor shortcomings. [Issue#304]

    Although the slow tempo of the gameplay might not be appealing to everyone, and although the story could have ended much, much better, Close to the Sun is still a great title that easily worth 5 to 6 hours of your time.

    With interesting setting and characters, Close to the Sun starts as a piece of art, but it doesn't keep its premises due to hurried pacing and a bit superficial evolution of the story. Non trivial jumpscares and a good direction make this short game really a missed opportunity and only a decent horror adventure.

    Close to the Sun is a game that’s only remarkable for its scenery. And it’s a shame, really, as the Helios could have carried a great tale. As it is though, while there’s nothing about Close to the Sun that’s broken, there’s nothing compelling enough to make it worth your while, especially with its short run time and lack of replayability.

I've always been a fan of Storm in a Teacup games. I bought the game at day one, I still have a few hours of play but I'm very happy. beautiful setting and the story of Tesla is really intriguing!

    The game is a mix of puzzles, a few running sections and a lot of exploring aboard the Helios and so far I am 6 hours into it and I would think I am a 2 or so hours away from the climax.    … Expand

Das Setting ist einer der schönsten, welches ich seit längerem gespielt habe und die Story fande ich auch nicht gerade schlecht, jedoch leidet das Spiel unter seiner Technik. In manchen Passagen kommt es zu massiven FPS einbruchen, welche mich in den Situationen dermaßen aus der Illusion der Spielwelt gezogen haben, dazu kommt, dass das Spiel nur ein paar Stunden geht (bei mir ca. 5 Stunden)… Expand

    Everyone is talking about a beautiful picture. I did not see it. I have seen the games much better. 90% of materials are gold. Everything shines unnaturally, including the floors. Working with PBR is at the lowest level. The performance of the game is also at the lowest level.    … Expand
