If you’re an action gamer like me you will probably play every last penny of this AWESOME game!

The perfect gaming experience. Anyone who doesn't like it is a pansy wuss who needs sense beating into them with a baseball bat, and that's a fact. Capiche?
  3. A stunning, involving experience that, though not for everyone, will appeal to both the gamer looking for a long, structured action/adventure game and the one looking for loosely organized chaos.

One of the very best things about this game is its almost total lack of any visible interface. [July 2002, p.56]

What started out as a 10-minute compatibility check turned into an all-night rampage, after I got past all the bugs that is.
  6. The number of different ways you can play GTA III is astonishing.

As shocking, unsettling, and addictively compelling as a viewing of HBO's "The Sopranos." It's just that brilliant of a game. Capiche?

I bought this based on the ratings on this site - not because it was really my sort of game. It just looked too good to ignore. My first GTA I bought this based on the ratings on this site - not because it was really my sort of game. It just looked too good to ignore. My first GTA experience and I am hooked - line and sinker thrown in! It's easy to learn and has a great depth of missions and superb pacing of player skill development. A huge playground to explore. Different experience every single time! And what about that soundtrack...unbelievable! Truly the best game I have played! Expand

I first played it on PS2 and couldn't get enough. When I saw it on PC, me being a PC gamer, I *bought* it without hesitation. At first, I first played it on PS2 and couldn't get enough. When I saw it on PC, me being a PC gamer, I *bought* it without hesitation. At first, I was sorta flustered about the lock-on system, or, rather, lack thereof, but after a while, I came to find the aiming system was far better. Rockstar made the right move. And with the option of skins, mods, and the very cool mp3 radio station, it makes the PC version better than even its PS2 counter-part. Expand

GTA 3 was one of the first games that elevate the "open world games" to what they are today.

For an updated computer with Windows 10 the game is strange to play, especially because the resolution is very low for today standards. But taking in account the 2002 standards, the game was amazing.

This is a piece of the gaming history. A "must have" to any gamer collection. I fully recommend it!

The game has not lived up to it's glory, and also never aged well. Never have I been so disappointed from a game that's made by Rockstar. HowThe game has not lived up to it's glory, and also never aged well. Never have I been so disappointed from a game that's made by Rockstar. How did it messed up so badly? As a kid I used to play Grand theft auto: Vice City. That game is masterpiece, even though Rockstar planned Vice city as a DLC of some sort to it's predecessor. Vice city wasn't a buggy pile of garbage, and it also didn't have as much terrible missions as III did. III is repetitive and malicious as hell. III is a moody and depressive New York, meanwhile Vice City is a colorful and a joyful memory. I cannot recommend this to anyone who never played it. Expand
