Really, that balance of sadness and nostalgia captures what Last Day in June is all about. You’ll come away from it feeling a little heartbroken, but sometimes that’s what great art does to you — and make no mistake, this is some pretty exceptional art.

A simplistic tale dealing with the most complex of human emotions. Have a box of tissues at the ready, as Last Day of June punches you right in the kidneys.
Ovosonico has managed to create stunning visuals, although its gameplay mechanics are quite repetitive and lack originality. However, if you're looking for something completely different, Last Day of June is an interesting game.
Last Day of June is a beautiful presentation of a heart-wrenching tale that is hindered by less-than-stellar game mechanics. It should be noted Last Day of June was partially designed to appeal to people who don’t regularly play video games. It succeeds as a story and as an interactive work of art, but as a game there are some mechanics that could have benefited from some further tweaking. As unique as this title is, however, it allows it to be one of the rare exceptions to the rule that mediocre gameplay trumps excellence in areas like graphics and sound. The story and concept are compelling enough where playing Last Day of June is worthwhile despite its shortcomings. Depending on the player, it can take four to six hours to complete. It’s not something that will appeal to everyone, but it’s worth looking into for those willing to forgive lackluster gameplay for a compelling story with a unique presentation.
Last Day of June's brevity is its saving grace, buoying up a story that isn't done any favors by its gameplay loop. There is undoubtedly potential in a game that allows you to alter past events to reshape the present, and Last Day of June shows glimmers of promise; however, it also ruins the emotional impact of its most important event by forcing you to repeat it so many times.
This game is a little gem. Nothing hard, story isn’t hard to follow, rather simple but effective. The devs did a nice job with this one, weren’t swinging for the fences or half-job’n the game. For a game with some unique graphic design and no real dialog or voice acting, I really got into it. For trophies, all bronze no platinum and straight forward. Good game to complete after a hard one or grindy one and you the sound track is perfect for the vibe here.
This game may not be entirely successful in terms of gameplay, but the story does work. It manages to transmit the tragedy of the character to the player and makes you think about chance and the fragility of life in general. I advise this game if you want a relaxed but meaningful experience.
The game was a wonderful surprise because it was available on PS PLUS premium. Otherwise, I loved the music, story and the puzzles. Lastly, it is a story that gets to you but in a good way.
It is indeed a "touching and sad story", about loss and the process of dealing with it. i loved both concept and design of this game: it takes place in a small fable-like village, animated by 7 funny and likable characters whose lives are intertwined.
after a tragic event you get to try to rewrite the past.
the only really annoying thing about this game is that you can't skip scenes, which in this case is much worse than usual because you will eventually have see over and over the same scenes as you try to change some of them.
a short game, i don't mind short games, but still those unskippable scenes made it feel quite tedious at times and distracted me from the deep meaning behind changing every little detail in these peoples day.
the ending is different and meaningful.
SummaryA deep, interactive adventure about love and loss, beautifully depicted and offering an intense cinematic experience. What would you do to save the one you love?
