If anything, it's even more addictive than Dig, and more innovative too. Same high-end production values and attention to detail. Lots of difficulty levels make it accessible and provides motivation to move up -- slick that you can change the level for individual missions too. Great music, compelling characters and a simple upgrading system that works well. The beauty of this one on PC is that it will run fine on anything -- even ancient, gutless laptops.… Expand

   Seriously, this is 2D XCOM except it is better, funnier, and cuter. I actually preferred Steamworld Heist to XCOM 2.    Surprisingly good side-view turn-based fun! Your rag-tag Steam-bot crew take on evil scrappers and haughty diesel-powered Royal bots inSurprisingly good side-view turn-based fun! Your rag-tag Steam-bot crew take on evil scrappers and haughty diesel-powered Royal bots in ship-boarding combat, earning water you can spend as currency (for the steam, naturally!) as well as new and sometimes rare weaponry. New skills are unlocked in a linear fashion (no choosing skills), so finding a good combination of 'bots for each boarding action can be crucial. Lining up "ricochet" shots by eye is necessary with some of the guns, so playing on a big screen can be an advantage. The campaign is quite big (just about the time I thought I was done, an entirely new campaign area opened up!) and there seems to be quite a lot of replay value due to enemy ships being procedurally generated anew each time you board them.
   
   In short, it's wacky but surprisingly deep tactical gameplay makes Steamworld Heist fun to pick up and play but still nuanced enough to stay fun even after several hours of bouncing rounds off of deck-plates.… Expand

   Мы командуем космическим кораблем контрабандистов, с командой из роботов на паровой тяге:) Посещая космические базы, ведем торговлю , берем на абордаж имперские корабли, выполняем дополнительные задания, иследуем дрейфующие в космосе обломки и постепенно раскрываем имперский заговор и спасаем галактику роботов от инопланетного вторжения!
   + Яркая, сочная 2-D графика.
   + Харизматичные персонажи с уникальными наборами способностей
   + Юмор
   + Неплохой сюжет
   + Интересная система рикошетов, позволяющая при должной сноровке прибить врага в другом конце карты за несколькими препятствиями. Впрочем, враги тоже это активно используют, так что скучно не будет!
   + Бои идут в пошаговом режиме , что дает возможность пошевелить мозгами
   + Возможность выполнения различных дополнительных заданий и самостоятельного исследования
   И, наконец, главное - меткими выстрелами можно сбивать головные уборы с врагов (фуражки , шапки, шлемы, шляпы, бейсболки) и собирать их в свою коллекцию) Что еще нужно для счастья?)))… Expand

   Esthetic is nice, gameplay mechanics seem good or better. But I couldn't really get into it. Maybe because of the feeling of mobile gameEsthetic is nice, gameplay mechanics seem good or better. But I guess that is subjective, and if this game looks promising to you there is little chance that it will disappoint.… Expand
