BJ’s latest adventure is a wondrous exercise in how to tell a story, how to write a script, and how to shape characters that feel both human and superhuman simultaneously. It really is amazing that a big budget game like this got made at all. Thank goodness MachineGames got the chance – it’s one of this decade’s best.

MachineGames does it again - The New Order was terrific, and The New Colossus is pretty much the same level. The new Wolfenstein appeared in 2014 out of nowhere and became one of the best shooters ever. The sequel is very similar even though the "wow factor" isn't as evident. It is a joy to play such a big and well-made game that focuses only on single player. Bravo!

Shooter of the year! It plays great, looks spectacular and sounds amazing. What’s more, despite an apparent lack of seriousness it’s not afraid to bring up difficult subjects, mixing comedy and tragedy in a stunning way. It’s a ridiculously good game. [13/2017, p.30]
  4. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is one of the best first person shooter games so far and living proof that single player games are still alive and well.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is a very good solo FPS (which is already a rarity in the current game market) with a good story and a great sense of humor peppered by intense gunfights.

I’m torn between calling Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus brave or merely unexpected. The core of The New Colossus remains as good as, and largely unchanged from, the earlier game. It’s great, explosive, and violent. The other half, so to speak, the heavy emphasis on story doesn’t drive the FPS experience so much as shift your focus into directions that FPS games don’t normally go. That’s not to say that FPS games don’t tell a story or even a complex story (Bioshock told an incredibly involved story and even explored the extrapolation of a Randian economics as a political movement), but they rarely (AFAIK never) attempt to tell a story so full of sadness and self-examination. The two parts sometimes fit well, sometimes less than well, and I think individual gamers will react very differently to the result.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus takes The New Order and multiplies everything tenfold (especially the silliness and the amount of cut-scenes) when it should just take the original and carefully build upon its foundation, smoothing its rough edges and offering the very best Wolfenstein game ever. The result is a FPS that's fun, but also one that doesn't really know what it wants to be.

I finished this game with a fairly substandard PC, only an old i5 with 8gb ram but with a nice new gtx1050, and it was beautifully smooth sailing all the way on max detail, so if you're having trouble with framerates, bugs, crashing or anything else, its your **** computer, or more likely, what you've got installed on it!

MILES better than DOOM or just about anything else released lately. Not a PC port either, so don't listen to the haters!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Pros: better graphics than the first game. A more open-worldy approach that facilitate infiltration and allows for a wider variety of approaches. I also liked that the devs did not compromise on the politically incorrectness of the first Wolfenstein in order to attract a wider public

Cons: BJ is weak in this game, pathetically weak. Unlike the first game, where you could charge groups of ennemies and tackle them quite easlily, a few of them will overwhelm you fast here and you'll get killed pretty quickely. This negates part of the fun that comes from the wider maps approach, and can sometimes be infuriating.

Spoil: also, the part on Venus was obvioulsy rushed, and not nearly as good as the part on the Moon in The New Order.

Good story, great gameplay BUT monotone levels and maps. It's just too much of the same, and needs some outdoor scenery.

If look on good side in wolfenstein. We can see:
-> quality fight animation, great grafic, nice setting and cool soundtrek.
    But all of this,
If look on good side in wolfenstein. We can see:
-> quality fight animation, great grafic, nice setting and cool soundtrek.
But all of this, unfortunately, ruin by:
->awful plot where drama and stupid jokes make in players the cognitive dissonance, ugly characters a small amount type of enemies, and corridor levels.
For me big problem in some characters.
I don't know how people can love characters in this game. Look at this.
-pregnant woman who can killed trained nazis. Yes she can shoot, run, jump and drunk with her big stomach. And nazis who spent much time in war and seized all World can't kill her.
-womanizer black guy who use women like comfort object.Yes for him women are only body nothing else.
-fat girl who don't afraid die by Diabetes Mellitus, and she mad pervert. (auć)
-crazy man who afraid aliens and ready to shoot in his allies.
-junkie or man who can be kill by his crazy prosthesis hand. Yes they are good fighters too. 9000 killed nazis by facepalm confirm it.
    - and my "favorite character" communist "yea". I was stupid that i thought that communists as nazis. Thousands of killed Poles, Hungarians, Russians, Americans and another nations who "weren't killed" by communists confirm it. Creators in MachineGames says to us "communists are good guys never mind".
In conclusion i want to say it's very bad that creators use us like stupid sheep who can eat everything. And looks so terrible when people who protect this game, instead of arguments call opponents nazis because they don't like this garbage.
If you want to play in good Wolfenstain games try to play in Return to Castle Wolfenstein, or Wolfenstein: The New Order. About this game, avoid this thing.
