Storytelling is superb with great cutscenes, giving NPC characters personality and conveying a dense and compelling story. Game mechanics are improved and the new quest system gives overview, structure and guidance. The new subclasses are very well designed and are huge fun to develop and play. Collections make it easier to manage shaders, emblems, exotic weapons and armor. The reputation system is als improved and Crucible (PVP) action has become even better with new maps and modes. New and well designed weapons and armor everywhere along with a new system to calculate light level, better reflecting individual progress. This new iteration of Destiny is a massive improvement in quality in all aspects, finally making Destiny the top notch title it always should have been. A strong recommendation from my side for this game if you're looking for best-in-class combat/gunplay along with an amazing sci-fi dystopian universe/story. Expand

Large, expansive, interactive maps, personalized gear, and plenty of missions. Leveling to Max Level isn't even half of the journey for a character, and there's plenty to do. PvP balances level differences to make it more balanced, and for people complaining about gear becoming obsolete, this is definitely not exclusive to this game. It's standard for a level cap increase to come with new, better gear and tougher enemies.

What I like about this game is that the difference in levels for enemies isn't astronomical; level 1 enemies aren't necessarily going to be one-shotted by a level 40 primary weapons, and low level weapons can take out higher level enemies with good tactics.

I expect this game to last for a long, long time.

This is so much better. Strikes are challenging and have more creativity, gear isn't the source of level (but it helps with your defense & offense stats, as it should), there is a LOT more story through cutscenes and detailed voice overs during missions (Nathan Fillion is a big part of the game this time around, which I love), and the new social area is so much more complex and full of things to explore. Bungie finally got Destiny right! If they keep this up, I don't mind throwing $40 per year each year for the foreseeable future. Expand
