A good session with Beat Saber literally leaves me breathless. When I’m in the groove, swinging red and blue sabers to precisely bisect an onslaught of incoming boxes as fast as I can might be as close to the feeling of being a Jedi at a rave as I’ll ever come. This challenging rhythm game is definitely a little light on tracks out of the box, but what’s there is both catchy and highly replayable due to the way its scoring system encourages pinpoint accuracy and followthrough, plus a handful of alternate modes to play them on.

Beat Saber is, to put it simple, one of the best VR games we have ever tried so far, and one of the coolest and most rewarding music games ever. The soundtrack is overall very good, but unfortunately a little bit limited for a game of its kind, and we could also regret the absence of an online VS mode, but no good reasons shall turn you away from this fantastic rhythm game, which is an instant classic for virtual reality.

Beat Saber is possible the best VR experience ever made. It is an incredibly satisfying rhythm game which uses the immersion of VR to evoke a sense of scale, power and energy that hugely enhances the underlying gameplay loop. The mechanics, music and VR environment tap into something deep in your psyche that creates an irresistibly fun and empowering experience.

With this PS4 version which skips the modding part of the PC version, Beat Saber brings a new and unsuccessful campaign mode along with some new exclusive tracks. Still, the concept is amazing, the game content is decent and the PS Move are doing great without being perfect.

Music and sweaty lightsaber choreographies merge into an impressive VR experience that unfortunately lacks content and song-import for your favorite music.

Imaginative use of VR to make one of the best new music games of the generation, and which also manages to be the best Star Wars game never made.

Beat Saber never reaches the same transcendental moments of synaesthesia as Tetris Effect, but it does make you feel like a genuine participant in the music. [Issue#328, p.120]

The great thing is anyone can pick up and play. I thought originally the fact that there was no licensed songs would make the game not so great compared to all the PC videos I've seen with modded songs. However the song selection is on point and I cannot see a single person who wouldn't enjoy playing this game. Must buy for PSVR owners! Expand

It's best, I was surprised that a picture is more beautiful than VIVE and Oculus.

By far the best rhythm game in the VR community! Although must note that the PSVR lacks content compared to other consoles

However, as you get better on the PSVR version of this game, the harder levels (i.e overkill expert+), become nearly impossible on the console. The amount of lag that is caused by moving the headset while swinging your motion controllers is unbelievable, and when you play levels that need you to be on your A game all of the time, it becomes too much to handle. I would not recommend purchasing beat saber on the ps4, however I would totally recommend buying on pc. Expand

The devs just dont know how to do interesting maps. Nor show any effort in the right way.
They've got tenths of good maps examples, but just dont care, they keep doing boring maps.
If you dont know why, just go and download a few tracks by the moding community.
I guarantee you will never ever again play one of theirs.
I played beat sabers original tracks 1-2 only.

But wait, no, you cant play moded tracks anymore because devs got gready EA and disabled mods so they could sell their dlc more easily. Which also suck because its the same genre of music and they made the maps. Their trying to sell this **** 30$ for ~9 songs made 5 years ago. All from the same artists.
