Destiny 2 is an epic: a story with an ever expanding scale made greater by the heroes of whom the story is told with tragedy, struggle, and redemption. It is very fitting that the score to accompany it must be, too. And it is. There were moments that I had to put the controller down and simply listen, taking in the scope of what I was experiencing.

Destiny 2 is a perfect evolution of the original´s concept. Campaign is solid and full of CG sequences, the new activities, progression system and raid complete a unique experience between FPS and MMO. And Bungie brings the best gunplay back.

Destiny 2 is a massive and rewarding game that offers the potential for hundreds of hours of fun and discovery with friends. Quibbles aside, Bungie has crafted a fantastic follow-up to a wildly popular formula, and one that no other developer has come close to equaling in sophistication. Many of the streamlining choices welcome a new crop of Guardians into the mix, but also make this new game more playable and understandable for even returning players. As I settle in for what I hope to be another several years of adventures, I hope Bungie can nail the elusive balance between depth and accessibility.

There’s a lot to enjoy here both solo and as a co-op experience. Any fan of Destiny 1 should take a look at this game, and anyone that has had interest in it but hasn’t pulled the trigger on it just yet should rest easy knowing that while it has a few issues here and there, Destiny 2 is a great game that champions over the first game in so many ways. I highly suggest it to both FPS and RPG fans alike.

For the more casual - OK, more sane - player, however, Destiny 2 is almost a triumph. It is a game much better at explaining itself, that wants to be enjoyed and understood, and is happy to reward players for simply being there. [Dec 2017, p.102]

Destiny 2 isn't perfect, and I hesitate to recommend it for solo players, but for anyone that hopes to play in a group - there really is nothing else like it. I can't say if there's enough new here to draw returning players to the game, but Bungie has done nothing if not craft one of the most beautiful engaging co-op experiences of 2017.

Even if Bungie backtracks on some of these horrendous missteps, there’s evidence that the dev team is either flailing around without a clear idea of the experience they want to present, or even worse, they’re happy to offer the least amount of mediocre content possible until the player base starts pushing back. When free-to-play titles like Warframe and Let it Die seem monumentally more generous and offer vastly more entertainment value than a triple-A sixty dollar release built with a budget large enough to feed whole continents, it’s clear that something has gone horribly wrong.

You have all new areas, and new adventures to have fun in. I played Destiny 1 a good amount but didn't have as much fun as this. I played the beta on all the systems, including PC. The PC might have the best graphics, but for the price, you can't go wrong with PS4 or XBONE.

Don't mind the low scores, they are just idiots who haven't even given the game a chance and are just posting spam.

If you liked the original, and wanted a better story, this is the game for you. It has a better story, basically the same combat, and more open world(not much more open, but it's better) than this is perfect for you.

I just hope Destiny 3 will have pure open world. That's my only hope and that's why I can't score it any higher.

That said, No one should have to pay for a game, ever, that is not a complete game in the box on launch day. Coming from a huge history with Bungie all the way back to Halo 1 I have wanted a game that is as thrilling in its story and satisfying in its multiplayer as that first Halo game was. This was not it. Maybe someday Bungie will live up to its own legacy but so long as a game comes out with a story mode that feels tagged on to the multiplayer mode that is honestly largely grind, farm, repeat, I'm going to have to pass. Is this a joke?

    Am I in crazy land?

It's the same DAMN GAME as Destiny 1.

Yes fans will say - sure of course what did you expect we just want more - but there is zero innovation.

Dark Souls series is 3 (or 4 if you count demon's souls which you should) brilliant games that all look better over time and introduce so many new tweaks and updates to the core gameplay that it feels like a newish game each time.

Destiny 2 feels like Destiny 1, looks like it, plays like it, Nothing new, nothing interesting. I'm halfway through the campaign and I'm just pushing forward. It's so easy, such a joke of a game. Please, no more Destiny. $60 gone forever :(((((((

1 point for cool new dance emotes.

This is the first time i ever write a negative review. The game besides nice looking graphics is bland and missing content.First experienceThis is the first time i ever write a negative review. The game besides nice looking graphics is bland and missing content.First experience after playing it for 45 days is wondered if the game was still in beta. This is by far the most Antisocial game i ever played in my life. The whole game is programed that way and lacking so many features and UI options is a shocking they selling it so expensive. After playing reaching ending, when i have to team up with other the game cripples you in doing so.Making it impossible to pair with other people.Tried websites and apps to get people to do some content what ended up feeling me sick from all sick minded people.Only option if you real want to play this game, get friends start together, otherwise stay hell away from it.Wasting 6 hours just to get few randoms to fail something cause people lie and other saying they done the content before just wow. After playing seeing things ingame where PVP is failure getting forced by game quest and other items into pvp...Then even some content forced to participate into raids and other while game has no LFG or Option Matchmaking or dungeon finder called just wow.Like previous game is antisocial department for people who suffer depressions it seems.Gave it a try no matter what content they add is not worth it how the basic roots game developed it stuck in stone age!Programed bad and laking options and functions and we are in the 21th century this game is stuck in 19th century department.
