Under the threat of nuclear annihilation, you’ll experience the largest, most dynamic world ever created in the legendary Fallout universe. Reclamation Day, 2102. 25 years after the bombs fall, you and your fellow Vault Dwellers – chosen from the nation’s best and brightest – emerge into post-nuclear America. Play alone or band together as you explore, quest, build and triumph against the wasteland’s greatest threats. Multiplayer finally comes to the epic open-world RPGs of Bethesda Game Studios. Create your character with the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. system and forge your own path in a new and untamed wasteland with hundreds of locations. Whether you journey alone or with friends, a new and unique Fallout adventure awaits. Use the all-new Construction and Assembly Mobile Platform (C.A.M.P.) to build and craft anywhere in the world. Despite some very annoying bugs that absolutely need to be addressed, the game is both a wonderful online experience and an underrated solo adventure if you enjoy the exploration aspect of games such as No Man’s Sky.

Though it suffers from graphical issues and bugs, as well as unsatisfying combat, Fallout 76 is fun nonetheless, and the experience is only enhanced by cooperating with other players.

Underneath the extremely rough and laggy exterior, Fallout 76 has the makings of a great and entertaining game. To some, the damage may have already been done and the appeal may have already worn off, but with Bethesda’s level of support, the game has potential to grow into something much more than it currently is.

Forcibly pushing players together in order to tackle the later main quests isn’t the experience fans wanted, nor is a PvP system that requires consent before it really kicks off, regardless of where you are.

Fun to play with friends, not so much on your own. There's potential here, though a huge load of bugs manages to annoy and frustrate the player, leaving him or her with the impression that this full-priced game is far from a finished product. Shame.

Fallout 76 could have been appealing. With its massive open-world, rewarding exploration and some interesting quests, it fails to be a good game because of too many game-design mistakes and technical issues.

The most positive thing I can say about Fallout 76 is that a train wreck of this magnitude might finally yank Bethesda – a company that gets away with too much – back to reality. Maybe it’s finally time to update that engine. Maybe it’s not a good idea to slap the Fallout name onto a game that isn’t fit for release and expect it to go over well.

The world is rich and huge, challenging enemies, smart AI, and a sense of realistic survivability. The perk card system is a great twist on the previous perk system. The gun modification system has been greatly improved and is more rewarding. The CAMP feature is fun, creative, and relaxing. The story and quests are actually clever thought out and more indepth than what one would think at first look. And the community is friendly, helpfull, and overall what a good community should be like. Theres room for imporvements of course, but all games have that. If it isn't it right now, the game surely will be a huge success after a few updates. Defeiently a hit. Expand

The addition of multiplayer is very much welcome, i have had little to no issues with servers except for right when the game launched and had a 10 minute wait to get into the game. The framerates are actually good now with the launch patch. I thoroughly enjoy the lore being learned via holotapes. it reminds me of Dark souls in the sense that there aren't really other people out there. The isolation provided by no NPCs adds to the eerie feeling of the game. No friendly faces to wish you luck on your quest, no nice guy telling you exactly where to go and what to expect. There are bugs in the game but that is absolutely to be expected in an open world Bethesda game, and the differences between the beta and now are immense as far as my experience has gone. If you love open world small scale mulit-player, i highly recommend it, even if you weren't a fan of the other fallout games like myself. Expand

Let me just start by saying I've been playing since November.
There's been a lot of ups and downs, but as new content was released slowly and the servers became more stable it quickly became the only game i played.
With the addition of survival mode and nuclear winter for pvp focused game-play, pve players get left alone and pvp get what they want as well.
If you've never played or put it down early now is the time to play Fallout 76

While the concept behind the game isCurrently having been a long time fan of the Fallout Series I am quite disappointed with this entry. While the concept behind the game is certainly sound, the execution was dropped several times on it's head. The player count for the game is underwhelming, leaving each player sometimes struggling to locate one another. Graphically is no different than Fallout 4, along with bringing it's own bugs.

I however was quite optimistic about the game, giving Bethesda the benefit of the doubt. The game would only reveal a small amount but show it's colors and catch us all in shock. But it failed in the end, as it was shipped in what feels like early Alpha or Beta. While core mechanics are certainly present in the combat, and exploration, the lack of real story, content, NPCs, and substance hinder it. After getting a few good hours in with my partner, we found ourselves genuinely bored. We delved into the PvP system a little, but after a few honest fights, found players simply avoiding combat, which led to further boredom.

Enemies will respawn immediately once a new player has entered the AO. Meaning any fighting done to scavenge items must now happen again before looting peacefully.

Overall I feel like Bethesda dropped the ball, trying to create a Fallout style MMO like FF14 but their own twist. With no real story, lore to base content off of, and NPCs to provide much needed dialogue it feels empty. FF14 for example has NPCs that provide small quests or small bits of audio to help the game feel alive. Bethesda could create a few dozen quest givers, with the ability to become incapacitated or no hit boxes, as to prevent players from ruining other players games.

In the end I'll be returning the game, and waiting for it to release with more content hopefully. Otherwise this is a pass for me.
