Simply put, Gauntlet: Slayer Edition is a great lark about with buddies, and Arrowhead almost hit the bullseye with this one, if only the visuals and music were a bit more interesting.

Retooled and improved, Gauntlet: Slayer Edition is the perfect dungeon crawling adventure for you and three buddies to undertake.

It might not be the perfect reimagining of the series that fans have been hoping for, but Gauntlet: Slayer Edition is about as close as anyone has come to delivering the contemporary Gauntlet of our dreams.

A worthy port of the PC reboot, Gauntlet: Slayer Edition adds loads of stuff to unlock, new abilities, enemies and characters (if you buy the DLC), but some will be put off by the unforgiving difficulty and sketchy servers.

Gauntlet: Slayer Edition offers an entertaining multiplayer experience filled with action and fights, but lacks a little in the single player mode.

The Gauntlet's saga returns to console with an entertaining (but perfectible) enhanced version that retains the original gameplay and adds a bunch of new features and gameplay elements.

Gauntlet: Slayer Edition is a passable action-RPG for those desperately looking for a dungeon crawler to play with friends but it doesn’t offer much in the way of replayability or unique concepts to really recommend past that.

In my opinion Gauntlet has been made to play as multiplayer, so I recommend a co-op with your friends or random people on the Internet. The first option will obviously be much more fun. If you have someone to play with and a controller you can just lay down on a sofa in front of TV, press start and enter the dark dungeons of Gauntlet.

Complete and pure pooI was extremely excited for this game and have been waiting for years, since dark legacy. However, it is utter @$$! Complete and pure poo patty! Here is my list in no particular order: can't see crap on 55" uhd 4k tv unless i sit up close which shows just how ugly the graphics are (nice try all tiny graphic games, nice try!), Wizard is a** to use as you stand there dying, archer is a** to use as you stand there dying, the only female character that you don't have to buy is just another warrior called "valkyrie" (wow so original!), Characters do not save you star over each play, no leveling for OP everything, Can't see what abilities I'm using too tiny, Multiplayer is a**, Multiplayer says 'revive' but you can't, you drop out and come back still dead, there are no puzzles, thought, creativity, makers pushed put shatty $5 game and sold it as "gauntlet" to make quick $$ AND you can tell.
