Really, that's the overarching theme of Gravity Rush 2: it takes what made the first game intriguing, it builds on the proof of concept that was Gravity Rush Remastered, and it shows what Kat and co. are really capable of doing. It may start out a little slowly, but once it hits its stride, it quickly becomes apparent that the sky's both the literal and figurative limit as to what this game can accomplish.

Gravity Rush 2 is a fantastic follow-up, that improves nearly everything.

The first great game of 2017. It takes what made the original a cult classic and builds upon that foundation in meaningful ways across all areas of the experience. Few games will make your heart race and palms sweat with excitement from moment-to-moment like Kat’s physics-defying journey through the skies.

Gravity Rush 2 takes the strange, quirky style and gameplay of the original and lets it loose on a larger canvas, dishing up its gravity-twisting action with real imagination and verve. It has the original’s charm and personality but more ambition, with a bigger setting, bigger set-pieces and a storyline to match. If Gravity Rush gave us a great heroine, some interesting mechanics and a different take on the action adventure, the sequel puts then centre-stage in a tale that does them justice.

There are a number of standout missions in Gravity Rush 2 that will have players scrambling every which way until it is hard to tell down from up.

Unfortunately, Gravity Rush 2 doesn't compare to the original. It's opening hours are way too slow and the story lacks substance, failing to hold our interest throughout its runtime. The game's still a lot of fun and the open world is dripping with atmosphere, yet it lacks the magic that made the first game so memorable.

What should be a sleek and swift experience feels like a local train stuck in traffic, a metaphor that the game emphasizes each time that it chooses to momentarily strip Kat of her powers.

Great graphics, stunning and beautiful living world, an interesting plot, excellent animation, fantastic destructible objects, blurred motion makes the picture even more stunning, design and animation of monsters also creatively great! Don't miss this beautiful adventure! Expand

The open world is fun to explore and certain characters are easy to connect with as you want to learn more about them. The only thing I dislike about the game are the controls. As you are rushing through the air, locked on to a enemy, you will occasionally miss your target even though you lined up with them. I find myself constantly having to fight the camera to be able to hit the enemy. Something to get used to especially if this is your first time playing the series. The combat is a bit repetitive at times as well.
Graphics and art style is beautiful.
    Soundtrack isn't the best.

I would've scored the game a 7/10 at first as the game tends to get frustrating at times with the controls/combat but I learned to enjoy the game as I pushed through the story.

One of the few must have exclusives on the Ps4 platform,

A fun flying adventure game, with an enjoyable gameplay style more games could learn from.

Not many flying adventure games this gen, but we have had some great and underrated stand outs such as Rodea The Sky Solider Wii U and Wii version, and Gravity Rush 1. While Rodea the Sky Soldier is a bit better as a game given its score arcade style rpg throwback to the Nights Into Dreams series of games from classic developer and console maker Sega, the last of which was on the Wii....

Hopefully more Japanese developers invest in games like this over the tired turn based jrpg format, which unfortauntely has been sholved heavily onto the ps3, ps4. More of this, less of that...

This game, along with Teraway and Talos Principle are the 3 worthwhile exclusives on the system. Must own for a playstation 4 library.

Neat mechanics that add interesting elements to the gameplay. Fun characters and a good utilization of the PS4's controller. However, theNeat mechanics that add interesting elements to the gameplay. Fun characters and a good utilization of the PS4's controller. However, the gravity mechanics can be annoying and not as smooth as you'd hope at times. Combat in the air is a pain, and on the ground it's fairly simplistic. Story won't take too long, but it's a decent play through. Overall it's a decent game, that could've been great if the mechanics worked a little more smooth. Worth getting for cheap. Expand

The first game in the series had the same problem, and they have not fixed it, focusing only in upgrading the graphics. Kat is still a lovable character - however, she deserves a better story than this. Please, make GR 3 the great game we all looking for. This game is played by a minority not by chance. Expand
