All in all, Overwatch continues to feel unique regardless of how much time you spend with it, and despite the low number of available modes to participate in. I’m genuinely impressed by what Blizzard has managed to do here, and I think you will be too.

The best Hero shooter ever and the coolest competitive shooter of recent years is brought to us by a developer that has never even made a shooter before. Overwatch brings online fun for anybody, no matter how experienced or how old you are. This might be the game of the year.

It might not have the most exhaustive list of maps and modes, but it provides nearly endless opportunities for exhilarating, coordinated play. When you’re at the center of it, it feels like nothing else.

What’s incredible about Overwatch is how every single aspect of the game presented holds the same remarkably high level of detail and polish, and though the lack of progression systems and small selection of game modes may limit the experience for some in the long term, in the short to medium term, this game is nothing short of amazing.

A collection of firsts, but it carries itself with the confidence and proficiency of a veteran. It has plenty of room to grow and expand, but as our first step into this world, it's inviting, competitive, smartly designed, beautiful to look at, and fun to play. You can't ask for much more than that.

With its fun gameplay and an amazing charisma for standing out, Overwatch is the best candidate for the “best competitive FPS” title this year. Blizzard has done a gorgeous job working on this title, creating a shiny box full of a deep and interesting lore, an outstanding design and tons of fun.

Blizzard and their team seem to have struck gold with a perfect combination of class based, team-centric first person shooting with their latest entry in their storied career. They show that in an era of overpriced and overwrought online only first person shooters, Overwatch stands out above the fray, to deliver a meaningful, competitive experience sure to last for years to come.

Many people have put in more - because they've had fun playing it. Got hooked on the beta. If you haven't played the beta, that's probably the only reason you don't already have the full game. In all seriousness, it does something that no other shooter on console has done successfully - created a fun, truly team based, engaging, competitive game that has a high skill ceiling with a low barrier to entry and lovable characters. On the surface it is simple, but play it for a while and you'll understand why Overwatch exceeds the hype. Expand

If you're into strategic based shooters and you're in need of something fresh to sink your teeth into then I highly suggest getting this game and giving it a try. Also I highly suggest you play with friends to get the most fun out of this game, playing solo is great too but coming up with perfect plays with your mates feels extremely satisfying. Some characters do have learning curves from the first instance of playing but playing through your first few matches will change that as each character is adaptable over time. Expand

A co-op storymode is definitely deserved and a more diverse multiplayer would turn this entertaining rip-off into a Anime Destiny. Characters are great with the range of abilities you can combine along with ultimates which are so fun to play around with. Competitive is great to play when your not with 'toxic' players swearing down the mic but Quickplay and Arcade is where it's at. I would never give a $60 free game an 8/10, but its overwhelmingly fun. And, quote Reggie, if it's not fun, then what's the point? Expand

The classesThe game is typical of Blizzard in terms of polish, but very un-Blizzard in terms of depth, content and meaningful interactions. The classes are fine, and sure they click together. The environments are colourful and have good verticality. It just all seems so hollow. On console especially, people don't both coordinating. There's no push and pull, no big tilts, no...stickiness. Just a colourful, fun arcade arena shooter with bland character archetypes (Bastion will always win too) and brings nothing new to the genre table. Expand

Overwatch isn't a bad game, but it is simply another example of an overhyped, overrated, overpriced, and content light multiplayer focused game ala Titanfall or Evolve. I have a feeling "professional" game reviewers are gonna be over scoring Overwatch as they did with Titanfall.

Team Fortress 2 launched bundled with the content rich Orange Box and it was an amazing deal. Why Blizzard didn't follow TF2's launch example is disappointing. Overwatch should've launched at a $29.99 or $19.99 price for the amount of game content on offer. Overwatch could've even gone free to play as TF2 did.

There is a fun game here, but unless Blizzard adds in some form of single player or actual story in multiplayer? I recommend waiting for a big price drop or used copy. The game already dropped $10 on Amazon, so, in a month or so it will drop even more.

    I expect more from Blizzard...
