If you’ve somehow avoided Trine up until now then this is the point where you should really jump on board. Some clever physics puzzles make reaching the end of a level feel like a real achievement and despite the short playtime, it’s well worth the asking price.

A lack of variety and slightly shonky combat certainly mars the experience, but not enough to ruin the game's solid core mechanics.

Totally recommend it. Got it, and sequels, in a package sale.
I saw it before and was interested. Finally got around to playing it and LOVE

Great game to play with a wife and/or friends. simple mechanics, but lots of fun, especially if everyone just stick to one character lol

It has creative game mechanic that let you swap among three characters in order to cope with the current situation. However, the difficulty is very high if you play alone. Trine 2 is much better game in my opinion. Puzzle solving is also not that great in Trine 1.

In brief, I suggest you play Trine 2 first, If you like Trine 2, then you could try Trine 1. Trine 1 is good based game but don't expect it to be as amazing as Trine 2

Tips: There is a bug that will kick your friend out of the game, if someone swap character when he dies so don't do that if you play COOP.

I had a good time with this game. There's some replayability as you try to collect some extra trophies and maybe solve a puzzle more quicklyI had a good time with this game. There's some replayability as you try to collect some extra trophies and maybe solve a puzzle more quickly as you replay boards with an upgraded set of skills. The thief's grapple hook mechanic was really the only thing that irked me about the game as it often seemed to want to go the wrong way (especially the last level where bad stuff happens if you aren't precise). It also irked me that I'd just finished a game where the attack buttons were the same as the "switch character" buttons were in this one, so I'd be ready to whack a skeleton as the knight, but suddenly, I'd be the wizard, poofing into the thief. Of course, that's just me being old and not adapting back from the previous game quickly enough. I got it and its 3 sequels for something like $15 on Playstation Store, and the first game was almost worth the price right there. Graphics are good (and it's nice to play a game that is compatible with my relic of a 3D TV), music is enchanting, and it's not an overly long grind. Expand
