The nostalgic value of this collection is beyond any doubt, they are three masterpieces that today are still very funny (and with a sensational script), but this remastering has fallen short in many respects, and has technical flaws.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition is kinda rough and kinda janky, but it isn’t quite the disaster that the dogpile claims it is. Sure, the character design looks rough in high resolution and there are a fair number of bugs, but the games largely function as they did three generations back when they released. It ain’t great, but we’ve certainly seen worse.

I’m a diehard fan of the GTA series, but I’m of two minds about this up and down port to the Unreal 4 Engine. The initial wow-factor of the visual upgrade is undeniable, but the more you play it, the more cracks appear in that pretty veneer. Some of those are legacy fissures that have not been repaired. Others are eyesore imperfections wrought by a new team of less-than-master craftspeople.

A disappointing remaster of some of the most influential games of all times leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Here’s the thing, though; despite every issue that the GTA: DE suffers from, I’ve still been having a good time with it. Which is simply a testament to how well-written the Grand Theft Auto series is. The GTA: DE needs a patch. Or, maybe, it needs a boatload of patches. Though, I still find myself enjoying the over-the-top storylines, ridiculous dialogue, and outrageous mission structure. It’s hard to call these definitive, but still easy to call them classics.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition is anything but definitive, with too many issues that simply cannot be overlooked.

GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition is a relic of its time. A relic that was better left unearthed.

I love it, the few added features like weapon wheel and the map is so much better plus the added auto save

Atmosphere/art style has been stripped from GTA3, Vice City & San Andreas atmosphere is good. The lighting is great & is improved but that is the only improvement, everything else has somehow been made worse.?.. It isn’t a good remaster. Definitive edition is a hard swallow Expand

They already made a port for mobile phones, ps 3 and xbox 360 and it was a failure, because they ruined some of the mechanics, animations. The second attempt also failed. This game is a huge steaming pile of garbage. It doesn't even have the AAA quality to justify the $60. I know this is a remaster, but I expectThis game is a huge steaming pile of garbage. It doesn't even have the AAA quality to justify the $60. I know this is a remaster, but I expect top notch quality in a $60 game. The graphics are a joke. The physics are easily the worst physics I have ever seen in a PS5 game by far. Too many bugs and glitches. A ridiculous amount of pop-ins. There are invisible walls. The AI is incredibly stupid. You can't swim in GTA 3 and Vice City. The gameplay is outdated and about the same as the originals. The driving mechanics are beyond horrible. The tail lights on cars don't even light up at night, when the original versions has that feature. How is it possible to make a remaster worse than the original? Pathetic.

The rain effects look laughable. It looks like they hired the director of the Birdemic movie to create the rain effects. That is very embarrassing for a videogame franchise that is owned by a company that made billions of dollars. The character models look even worse and more cartoonish than the original. The characters look like they were created using WWE 2K20's character creation. Makes sense, considering WWE 2K series is also owned by Take-Two. Some songs on the radio are missing. The developers could have at least replaced those missing songs, but they were too greedy for that. The pool minigame in GTA San Andreas has terrible physics. And you can't even play with another friend with a second controller, when you could do that in the original version. You can't take pictures and save them in the Gallery section like you could in the original. In what world does a PS5 Definitive edition has less content than the original PS2? Imagine charging a ridiculous price of $60 for less content.

The developers that advertised this game were extremely greedy and anti-consumer. Using vague terms such as "GTA V inspired controls" leaving us to speculate what that means. They decided to remove the classic versions of these games before even showcasing what this so-called "Definitive Edition" even looked like. It should be up to us to decide which version we want to buy, not the developers. The developers knew that if they were to call this horrendous game GTA Trilogy Remastered, then less people would be interested in pre-ordering this game. Speaking of pre-orders, the greedy developers had the audacity to open the window for pre-orders without even showing any gameplay. This outrageous greed makes Activision and Ubisoft look like saints in comparison.

There is no multiplayer. So once you beat the campaigns, there is not a reason to play this game again. Charging $60 for a game with no replay value is a cash grab. And they had the audacity to take out the couch co-op multiplayer from GTA San Andreas. This is why I hate when consumers value nostalgia over quality. It just encourages developers to make cheap and lazy cash grabs. Don't get me wrong, these games were great when they first released. But by PS5 $60 standards, these games are the laughing stock of the videogame industry. I don't recommend this pathetic excuse of a remaster at all.

Demasiados bugs, cierres de juego constantes, sonido de baja calidad y volúmenes muy bajos.
