Although it may look like a game for kids, it's a quite challenging experience, with a lot of care put into it. It won't disappoint you if you're looking for some puzzles on your PS Vita.
The simple fact is that despite turning the game off every ten minutes and vowing never to play it again, I kept coming back to Baboon! It is annoyingly addictive, and I mean that in every sense, it will annoy the hell out of you.
Excellent quality-price ratio for this challenging Spanish indie game that mixes platform and puzzle mechanics. Lovely graphics and punishing difficulty are its high points.
Baboon! is a Spanish game that shines because of its beautiful and ambitious visuals, and solid gameplay mechanics. Words like 'despair' and 'frustration' will come around in a game aiming for experienced players looking for a challenge for their PS Vita. In short: fun, Japanese culture nods, an homage to the classics... and difficulty squared.
With time and just the right amount of patience, you’ll discover that the studio’s effort is one of Vita’s more pleasant surprises rather than simply existing as a bright, breezy and forgettable comic strip.
This is a clever and likeable release, then – but one that you'll need to work at to etch out its underlying enjoyment.
