A fun and quirky RPG that infuses the leveling system with some BDSM flair. It is great for an hour here or there when wanting to relax, and the avant-garde approach to leveling has to be praised. Those who have problems with sexuality will have issues with the game.

Despite the dated graphics, Criminal Girls: Invite Only manages to impress as an entirely competent retro dungeon crawler. It does run out of steam before the end with some amazingly pointless backtracking and a storyline that devolves into a typical harem snoozefest, but the overall experience? Still worth it, overall.

There was so much potential in Criminal Girls: Invite Only to be a transgressive, unique experience, but sadly, narrative missteps limit it from ever realising that potential. Instead what we have is a genuinely entertaining and original combat, and a minigame that, were Criminal Girls to be a higher profile release, would have been controversial indeed.
  4. 60
While the combat is entertaining and the dungeon crawling is okay, the story and the whole idea of having to “motivate” these girls are simply too unnecessary, too uncomfortable, and too offensive for this game to be worth your time.

If you are a fan of dungeon games and Japanese manga girls, you'll have some fun with Criminal Girls: Invite Only. If not, our advice is to try something else.

Behind a pink mist, Criminal Girls - Invite Only hides a dull dungeon crawler, with a boring gameplay and luck based mechanics. If punishing half naked girls with your fingers is not your bread and butter, you can avoid this game entirely.

For the price of Criminal Girls, you could buy a whole bunch of sex toys, one of those big anime pillows with a naked girl on it, or some really nice handcuffs and a whip. Regardless of who you use them on, you’ll have more fun with them than you will with this game.

Sometimes it feels as if it's working against you because a character won't offer up the right spells, but I kinda like having stuff out of my hands for once. It allows me to be more adaptive and feel like I'm in a tight spot. That's possible in other games, but Criminal Girls offers a fine take on battle and dungeon crawling. Expand

I felt really weird about purchasing this game, since I am usually turned off by pervy games (Senran Kagura i'm pointing at you!) However, the gameplay looked retro and fun; plus I really wanted to play my Vita more, so I caved. What I did not expect is to enjoy both the battle system and pervy moments; I often laughed at the ridiculous interactive scenes with the girls. The story isn’t anything special, but I never intended to play the game for that anyways (I mean come on, the game is called Criminal Girls Invite Only). In the end, I am really enjoying this game. BUT I do have one warning, do not play this game in public with the volume turned up to 100 percent! I can only imagine the looks you would get… Expand

Bosses have a very good difficulty

    Cons:
I would recommend getting the Japanese version like I did, the American version is horrible
Having to check online to know what to do sometimes if you are not that good at Japanese
The games progression is a bit simplistic, just go dungeon by dungeon

Take what you hear about this game with a grain of salt. From a perspective of an honest JRPG maniac this game was all around solid. I'mTake what you hear about this game with a grain of salt. From a perspective of an honest JRPG maniac this game was all around solid. I'm sure the big companies love thrashing this game for its perverse nonsense but that's simply a matter of culture differences. To summarize the experience i had, the game throws a unique twist on JRPG combat and the story was surprisingly crafted quite nicely. The art for the mini game was extremely well made. However, since you have to do the mini game several times it can get a tad stale.

The long story short is the game is ok. Don't dive into it expecting anything huge and you'll get a several hours of a solid jrpg. Most of the games challenge can be overcome with grinding and items, dungeons feel a bit liner but not anywhere near FF13 level.

On a separate note, the censorship is nothing and almost random at times. Most of the time theyre just hiding panties (or crotch lines) but nothing that would be classed as porn, and in turn the pink clouds make it feel like they're actually hiding something. Another common thing i see floating around is animal tails, but those are actually meant to be there so its just people being jerks. NISA did what they needed so we could play the actual game.
