A surprisingly simple game lies beneath these convulted rules and great graphics, which is a shame because this is the first Digimon game to do justice to the cartoon.
One of the best ps1 games I had played. I finished it with all different Digimon types and game is great, it is interesting despite how long I played it, Digivolve system is fun. I recommend
The cold, hard truth is that unless digi-fans…existed, most would not care two digi-bits about DDCB after playing two digi-seconds. [Oct 2001, p.156]
I've played DDCB since my parents rented it for me at Blockbuster back in 2002.
This is an excellent game that I think some people overlook.
The rock, paper, scissors like battle system is something that has a good amount of complexity when you take abilities & in-hand card effects into consideration.
I come back to this game pretty much once every year to re-enjoy the gameplay. I also have the OST downloaded on my phone & listen to it at least once a day.
Nobody can tell me that Battle Cafe Phase - 1 isn't a straight up feel good song to just put on to raise your mood!
I play this game at least once every year since I first played it in 2004. No other games have better replayability than this one. You don't need to have any prior Digimon-related knowledge to enjoy this game. One of the best games on the PS1 for me. The critic reviews are laughable, no wonder they don't even exist today.
This is a classic, one of the best games for psx i don't know why the critics are so inaccurate. The main characteristic it's the similarity with the series the way you use your cards to play has the essence of Digimon
SummaryIf you're dreaming of a DIGIMON scenario where humans and monsters could live together and participate in Digital Card Battles, then wake up! This is it! Three Partner Decks will be at your disposal throughout play: Veemon will help you with offense; Armodillomon will chip in on surprise attacks; and Hawkmon will lend itself to quick dig...
