Despite the show only being on for 3 seasons, the universe is already pretty large with plenty of fan theories, it’s just a tiny (Rick) bit disappointing how short and limited this title is. As a die hard I would kill, Krombopulos Michael style, for a Rick and Morty RPG in line with the South Park series. For now, if you own a PSVR and consider yourself a part of the council of Ricks, this is a must buy.
Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality is a game that fans of the franchise will enjoy. It's a great puzzle game with fantastic writing and voice over work. I just wish it was a bit longer and didn't require so much space for a VR title to enjoy. The game is a real workout.
Rick and Morty console's debut is a VR game that faithfully recreates the animated series' humor and spirit... but in a limited way. The game will last you only 2-3 hours and, even with end game content, it probably won't hook you up (most of it it's minigame repetition). Also, if you have played Job Simulator, "déjà vu" is guaranteed...
On one hand, it's a must have for those who love Rick and Morty. A fun new version of Job Simulator. Puzzles and exploration plenty of laughs and hilarious dialogs. In the other hand, it's only a 2/3 hours experience and there isn't any real replay value. It isn't long enough (neither deep or varied) for the asking price (30€).
This is a pretty good experience for fans of the series, but it lasts an hour and a half, and it feels pretty expensive. If you just want to be part of this world and you don't mind the adventure doesn't last long, then this is your game.
If Rick & Morty: Virtual Rick-ality were a discount title, I would say Take a look, but keep your expectations in check. However, this is one of the more expensive VR titles, and the brevity of the story combined with the frustration of some broken mechanics make this a mixed bag. The game is fun when it is working correctly, and the world building and writing are top notch, but don’t expect to spend more than a couple of hours in Rick’s garage, with some of that time spent wrestling with broken mechanics.
I don't understand the poor reviews either. This is the game that introduced me to VR and I fell in love instantly. I was a cartoon in a cartoon world, it blew my mind! Recent update fixed some issues with picking up things from the floor. There are some tracking issues but doesn't detract enough from the fun. Love the graphics and immersion. Only real negative is short game with mediocre replay. Still a must for fans of the show, and fans of any cartoons for that matter.
Big Rick and Morty fan but this game is just bad. The Rick and Morty voice acting/commentary are the only good parts of the game. Gameplay is boring and the tracking is terrible causing some frustration at times. I would wait for a sale, don't pay more than $10.
More of a flash-game gimmick that gets old fast than a fun, comedic experience that i expected. It is NOT worth the money. I really should have looked at the User Reviews first before buying. I would not get this game even if it was FREE because it is simply not worth the time. I am not being harsh. Think about the flash games you played as a kid, except not it's better because it's in VR EXCEPT there are better games out there that are enhanced by VR rather than using it as a crutch. To be fair, I have only beaten the first 5 or 6 stages but it seems to be out of 9, so i do not expect the rest of the game to make a significant difference. Do not make the same mistake as me. Spend your money elsewhere
