Samba de Amigo Party Central is a great time thanks to its accessible controls, local coop fun and the huge amount of songs to enjoy. The difficulty is a bit inconsistent however.
I think those with happy memories of the original will be satisfied with what they get in Samba de Amigo: Party Central. It functions very much as a sequel should, though perhaps not in the way a sequel that arrives nearly a quarter of a century later should. If you’re looking to just have some good times shaking your controllers and your booty to some tunes, you’ll get that here. Experienced rhythm game fans will likely be turned off by its lack of precision and song selection, however. It’s tough to say whether or not this will find much of an audience here in 2023, but I’d like to believe there are at least dozens of us.

Great song selection, the motion controls work great, colorful and fun graphics, lots of content, this game is a great party game, I recommend it to anyone who likes rhythm games, Well done Sega

An extremely fun experience to share with friends, an interesting one when playing alone, if you love rhythm games.
Samba de Amigo: Party Central from Sega is worth your time if you like the songs included. It has a lot of fun game modes, and even plays great in handheld mode with the colors shining on the OLED display. I hope it gets some quality of life and motion control improvements after launch alongside some classic songs added though.
A perfectly solid rhythm action experience that manages to cater to casual and experienced players alike, although it lacks ambition.
Samba de Amigo: Party Central is an entertaining music-rhythm game in theory, but it slips on banana peels that Sega threw on the ground constantly. The controls are certainly an improvement from the Wii game, but the game still suffers from a lack of input when you move sideways. The roulette system is a nuisance — especially in the single-player mode where you can’t turn it off — and the song list is a little disappointing with some overused pop tracks that have been featured in other games...Despite all that, I still find enjoyment in this game as the concept of shaking a Joy-Con to the beat never gets old to me. That’s despite Amigo’s smile haunting my nightmares tonight.
Maybe I’m missing the whole point here, but I just can’t see Samba de Amigo: Party Central fitting into my Switch rotation. If I want to master a rhythm game, Theatrhythm or Taiko no Tatsujin are far more satisfying. If I want a party game, there’s already Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. If I just want to jump around while waving Joy-Cons, I’d rather pick up Ring Fit Adventure. Samba de Amigo: Party Central might suffice to keep a children’s birthday party entertained, but even then I don’t think it would be my first pick.

It's fun to play alone, but with two people it's a lot of fun. I would recommend it as a physical game. I used to buy expensive controllers, but I like that I don't need them this time.

If you love rhythm games you'll love Samba De Amigo. It's a fantastic party game, great fun for the family and even non gamers can enjoy this.

It's been a while since I've played this title and it's nothing short of fun, I don't even mind playing with the Joy-Cons and I was able to get into the groove and have fun. It would definitely be fun to party with friends. I think the characters and backgrounds are bright, colorful, and cute. And I'm looking forward to the DLC for past songs.
