The Universim is a beautiful real time strategy game mixing city building with divine intervention. As a brand new take on the empire building gameplay of your stereotypical 4x gameplay, you'll focus less on military, and more on evolution and adaptability. Fight not only other civilizations, but also the environment itself; all the while trying to maintain a clean planet free of disease and pollution. As a stand alone title, The Universim has a lot to offer; and undoubtedly more to be expected from this beautiful bombshell of a game!
I think this is how games should look like easy and fresh and not greedy! this game is addictive and worth to play. And i think the work team make a massive work in the updates i hub they will continue to gave us a good work
I've been playing this game for over two years now, and what I can tell you is I've never burned out on it. It feels epic in scope, yet entirely accessible and relaxing. The graphics will can be stunning at times, with your bustling little city slowly expanding around the globe. More and more content is added monthly and the devs keep making it smoother to play. I haven't found a God Game/city builder like it anywhere. Highly recommended
I have fond memories of my youth and the many rounds of Black & White that kept me enthralled for hours on end. But even before and after that, many games have tried to adopt this principle and make us players gods over our virtual humans. This is exactly where The Universim comes in - we are a deity on our planet and accompany our believers in their growth through the centuries. The only difference is that the people here are called Nuggets.Right from the start, the game offers us the opportunity to select various settings such as bonuses or planet size. But not on the first run - we have to unlock these things bit by bit. Once we have made these settings, we start to put up simple buildings. Our nuggets, on the other hand, create their own residential buildings. With our divine abilities, the first people are then brought together so that families are formed and our inhabitants grow. The exciting thing is that our nuggets make requests of us from time to time, which influence how strongly they believe in us. As they develop, they also become more demanding. We also decide for ourselves whether we listen to these prayers. Particularly in the early stages of the game, it is therefore important to protect the nuggets from wild wolves, for example. Later on, however, we can also use lightning, tornadoes and other disasters to convince unbelievers that we are real after all. In total, we have over 15 powers at our disposal with which we can influence the everyday lives of our nuggets and also change the planet. You can watch the first few minutes of the game here:But we need some time before we get to that point. After all, we want to accompany our world from the ground up, from the first stone collectors to the first ores and beyond. We can also give each individual inhabitant a name if we wish. But this is not a must. We can also simply live with the given names and observe the development.Technically, I have to admit, I didn't have any errors! I know that from many other games that are released. So it's all the more pleasing that the developers at Crytivo are taking it seriously after all. Many other developers and publishers can take a leaf out of their **** let's take a closer look at the gameplay. While we are very reliant on our divine powers at the beginning, it feels like this becomes less and less as time goes on. Then it's more about placing buildings appropriately and keeping an eye on resources. Here I would have liked us to play more as a deity. On the other hand, The Universim is close to reality here, where even in modern times it's less about faith and more about resources. But the developers have listened to feedback during the development period and Early Access and so there are, for example, seasons or a day/night cycle, which makes the game even livelier and more intense. In particular, the fact that in winter, for example, our lakes and thus the water sources freeze over makes the game more challenging. But not only here: In general, The Universim has a lot to offer graphically and can convince with many colors and **** this game is all about writing our own story - that of our nuggets, to be precise. From the first early steps to the exploration of space. We are in an incredibly large and good sandbox that allows us to advance our nuggets. Trade with other tribes or even war is also a possibility that we can encounter on our way through the ages. And here we are given many different details by the developers. You can feel the love that the developers at Crytivo have put into **** extensive research tree also gives us a rough idea of how the civilization should develop. This offers various branches so that it is possible to find your own style of play.I have to criticize the interface, which sometimes left me a little perplexed. It took me some time to understand where to find what and exactly how it works. Especially if you are used to other simulations with resource management, I expected something different here and there. On the other hand, once understood, the system provides all the information it needs to understand its nuggets and advance their construction.
Another issue is the speed with which the game introduces its **** takes a lot of patience for anything to progress. This makes sense on the first run through, as you want to get to know everything, but if you play again or just want to play a leisurely round, you will be waiting a long **** if patience is not one of your qualities, it can be a challenge. Or you can learn patience with this game.Overall, however, The Universim is a solid game that plays with a **** you like building games and want a touch of the old Godgames, you will definitely be happy **** graphics and sound are also convincing, provided you like this style of **** the overall package from The Universim gets a clear recommendation from **** for 27.99 euros, you can't go wrong with it on Steam.
Not exactly what i expected. I was expecting a god simulator, and the game turned out to be some kind of RTS, only with a little bit of divine intervention gameplay. Quite boring
