The time-stopping fun is handled really well, too. It’s especially fun to see individual raindrops freeze as you slow time down and run about disarming a whole group of enemies. In general, the game is as interesting to look at as it is to play.
Simple fun. A non-generic fps that is fun to play. Good graphics. Love the rain effects. A confusing story, but that doesn't stop the game from being interesting. Sadly, no one plays this game online anymore. I would say this game deserves a sequel.
A drawn out and largely mediocre experience that's perhaps to be expected given TimeShift's difficult gestation, Saber Interactive's shooter nonetheless has some bright moments - but they're too little few and far between.
If you're somehow done with all the big FPS releases of the year then TimeShift isn't a bad option, it's just not a game that will get a second look by most gamers gorging themselves on the likes of Halo 3 and Call of Duty 4.
Only the mere prospect of reversing a grenade, or shooting a missile in slo-mo will save the gamer from feeling completely brain-dead at the end of the game. [Dec 2007, p.102]
Pretty fun game that has great graphics and some nice animations. But the plot is kind of scattered and a lot of the time im thinking to myself where am i why am i here who is this guy or whats happening? The time manipulating abilities are very fun and makes the game very unique and cool. Its always satisfying stopping time pumping led into a group of guys and see them fall to the floor.
Firstly I want to say I don't rate a game 5 to necessarily say it is bad, at 5 I feel it is a game not great, not bad. If it is at a 5 I feel like if you are interested in the game you might as well play it. That said.
Game was entertaining you get through it pretty quick, I am writing this review having played it 6 years after its release date, in saying that it was released the same year as bioshock which I gave a 10. Graphics which are not stylized tend to age poorly over the years and this was the case here game felt pretty clunky and dated. You move through the game without feeling like your character is physically moving, gun play is average, time shift abilities are fun and a cool concept. Storyline is average.
My biggest problem is that it feels kind of notinspire and enemies take way too many hits to kill , and it's not really fun to kill them.
The weird party is that I keep thinking about crisis while playing this which is a bit unfair but it's just more fun. What would you play this when you can play crisis?
Ok how is this game even getting a 6/10 I cannot believe that people like this game. The enemies are brain dead and are bullet sponges. The puzzles are nonsensical, and there is no logic in anything your character does, you place timebombs down and your character sets them for two seconds! You die immediately! Even when you move away the hitbox will get you and you will throw your controller. There is NO story I am not kidding you will never know what is going on, and it will have random cutscenes of people you have never seen or heard of getting out of bed and turning on their phone and then its over. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME. This is probably the worst game I have ever played. You will like the time aspect but then it will quickly become sour. Buy something else.
