It may not be what you are expecting if you are a hardcore Pokémon fan, or a hardcore fighting game fan … but Pokkén Tournament is a fun and unique experience that almost anyone can enjoy.

Pokken Tournament is an impressive game that carefully treads the line between a deep, complex game for fighting aficionados and an accessible, approachable one for the more casual audience.

Pokkén Tournament ran the risk of seeming like a bog standard fighter with Pokémon skins, but Bandai Namco and The Pokémon Company have served up a unique Pokémon setup that delivers a fun, flexible, and easy-to-learn experience for fighting fans.

Pokémon Tekken combines both original games into a great fighting game. Only the single player mode lacks diversity.

Pokken Tournament is a well crafted, yet simplistic fighting game. It won’t compete against the Tekkens or Street Fighters of the fighting world, but it does enough to cater to the Pokémon crowd. If there was a bit more balance and a lot more characters, then this game would have been phenomenal. As it stands, it’s still a good fighting game with lots of potential for growth.

Simple story, low difficulty level in campaign and lack of variety among fighters can be a little disappointing. Pokken Tournament seems to be a base for future, more robust installments.

Pokken Tournament is fun for a bit, but I'm not convinced that it has any staying power as a fighting game. It's further hurt by its thin single-player mode and limited roster, which hurts its potential with casual fans. As attractive and faithful to the license as it is, it has plenty of room for improvement. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a sequel.

    Excelente.

Ojo, no me estoy quejando, a mi me parece correcto.

What it is is limited though. The roster is stupidly small, with 2 slots wasted on Pikachu instead of a separate Pokemon. The solo tournament mode is entertaining, but nothing really all that immersive. This is a good first entry. If a sequel has a roster at least the size of Smash Bros, with a much deeper solo experience, I will buy it day one Expand

Tip for developers making fighting games. never...NEVER have a mechanic where a character does a move where you CAN NOT HIT THEM. if i am beating the hell out of my opponent they should not be able to sit there and take it with no problem just because they are doing a certain move.

the lack of modes also kills this game. with a sub par story and crappy tournament mode this game is not redeemable
