To restore light to the world, team up with the mysterious creature Midna and embrace the darkness to transform into a divine wolf. Fight through labyrinthine dungeons, survive puzzling traps in this legendary Zelda adventure. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is set in a world bursting with life—but also shadow. A dark figure from the Twilight Realm has invaded the world of light. As Link, a farmhand turned cursed beast, join forces with the impish Midna and trusted (albeit unusual) allies to survive a quest that'll take you to the farthest corners of Hyrule and beyond… to the Twilight Realm. This emotional adventure is now on the Wii U console with improved visuals and controls—and new challenges. Choose Hero Mode to take 2x normal damage, or tap the Wolf Link amiibo figure to unlock the tough Cave of Shadows. [Nintendo.com] Expand

It had been almost 10 years since I’d last played it, but I’d never really stopped thinking about it. It reappeared like a familiar face, creased with age but also timeless, its beauty easier to see without the facade of hype and novelty.

A very good remaster of a great game. If you didn't play it in the past, you definitely should now, and if you already did there are good reasons to play it again on Wii U.

It was a great game back when it was new. It’s a great game still. Strong narratives don’t age, and this one has a strong story to tell. Throw in quality port work that gives the art direction the detail and clarity that it really deserves, and Twilight Princess is a classic that has scrubbed up well enough to be a worthy Wii U title in its own right.

Twilight Princess HD is a solid and convincing remake of a great Zelda game, but we are not totally convinced that is was really necessary.

One of the best Zelda games, even if it hasn’t aged amazingly. Returning players and those new to Twilight Princess are sure to adore this, though the HD remaster doesn’t hide its age.

Unlike The Wind Waker, Zelda: Twilight Princess suffers from the damages of time. This HD version makes its empty, edgy places, its out-of-age animations and its character design even worse. The game's still captivating though.

After almost ten years Twilight Princess still is a pretty decent adventure, though not close to being the best in the franchise. The world isn’t that interesting, and the dark story feels a bit outdated compared to more modern titles like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. And sadly the HD edition leaves us a bit unsatisfied, mostly because the lack of content and the fact that the visuals should be better.

The textures are cleaned up but the characters models remain unchanged and you can tell its not a current gen game. Alas, if you've never played it before this is the definitive version of the game, but if you have you won't get much new out of this if you still have your wii or gamecube copy Expand

The improved textures along with 1080p resolution makes this game look great, even with a simplistic art-style and more or less the same character models.

If anyone haven't experienced this amazing adventure, you're in for a real treat. Not many games can boast 60+ hours of gameplay, and not have a single boring second. This game is close to perfect in many ways. The pacing, the story, the characters, the tremendous scope of Hyrule, +++

    Highly, highly recommended !!

This is my first time with The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess so I'll be reviewing it as its own game not a HD remaster.

I thought that this was a fantastic game, the dungeons are great beside a one or two, the combat feels just like any other 3D zelda game which is great, the story is good and grips you from the start. Although i did find some parts to be quite tedious and annoying, specifically fetch quests and hyrule field does feel quite empty.

The wolf parts of the game are great and i love the combat part of it, also how the overall game changes whether you are Link or Wolf link. Midna is also a great companion. The game does seem quite dull and colorless at times, i wonder what it would have been like on the GC version.

Overall a great game, in my opinion it seems like a good entry game to anyone who is new to the Zelda series.

From the original, all the way toThe Legend of Zelda definitely is without a doubt, one of my favorite franchises Nintendo ever produced. From the original, all the way to Breath of the Wild, every single title has its great aspects. Including Twilight Princess, which explains why they re-released it on the WiiU in high definition. Not only it plays an important role on the Zelda timeline, it was the first ever 3D zelda game I've ever played! One of my favorite characters are Midna who is a bit annoying at start but slowly throughout the game, once you learn a little bit more about her past you'll find that she has a reasonable backstory which'l make you like her a bit more.

So yes, I hope that answers the question enough, the textures are a lot more clean and the gameplay is outstanding! My only issue is that the character models all look the same. Overall, Twilight princess to me is truly a masterpiece in its own unique way.

I was hoping Nintendo had fixed at least some of the infinite flaws this game has, but they haven't! Hyrule field and the overworld is still empty, the boss battles are still too easy, the soundtrack still sucks, the AI is still stupid, and the wolf link sections are still unbearable. Zelda fans, do yourself a favour and skip this game. Expand
