There are a few problems here and there – and these ensure that it never makes the perfect adventure – but if you’re after something that feels familiar, yet still manages to deliver a very unique world, then please have a bash at Aritana and The Twin Masks.

Throughout its 5 hour run time, Aritana just throws hurdle after hurdle between you and any enjoyment you may get out of it. Somewhere in there is a fun, retro-style action platformer, and at points it comes through. But, the technical issues, and outdated controls and aesthetics are just too prevalent to look past.

Aritana and the Twin Masks is a Third Person adventure and sequel to Aritana and the Harpy's Feather. Embark on an adventure in BrazillianAritana and the Twin Masks is a Third Person adventure and sequel to Aritana and the Harpy's Feather. Embark on an adventure in Brazillian Mythology as Aritana (and you can chose your preferred gender of the protagonist) the direct descendant of the God Nhanderuvuçu. You have been chosen to cleanse the great spires, and save the tree of life. The Story is simple, but well portrayed through a narrative story given to you between main quests. The game features a beautiful aesthetic, and well themed music, that create a wondefully immersive environment. Exploration is a huge aspect of the game, seeking out the Muiraquitãs, and finding recipes and the various fruits found in the game for potion making. You start out with a Bow and Arrow, and a simple jump, and as you proceed you get to play with several more abilities, such as a double jump, and the ability to slow don time. The potions can provide even more abilities, from healing to deploying a small shield on the ground for protection. The Enemies are unique, and some can prove quite the challenge to most players. Aritana and the Twin Masks is a fun adventure, and will provide hours of game play if you seek out all the game has to offer. A well made and enjoyable adventure, recommended to those who enjoy a fairly relaxing game. Expand
